Your height, your putter length and lie angle

Hi just wanted to post this out of curiousity.

 

How tall are you? And what is your putter length and lie angle?

 

 

 

I am 5'9" and use 33.5" putter with 70* lie angle.

I'm 6'1, found this a little funny because i have putters from 32 inches up to 35.5. Im planning on going short this year. Gonna be 33 inch putter with 69 degree lie, but a 34" may see some bag time if my back starts hurting from practicing. I seem to be much more solid with the shorter putter especially on the shorter putts.

Funny you asked this question.

 

I am 6' 1" with long arms.

 

Just changed my putter and my stroke so I will give you both.

 

I have put the Utley stroke on the back burner for awhile. My specs were:

 

35.5 inches, 68 degree lie, and 5 degrees of loft. Eyes inside of the line.

 

I have gone back to a more of a Mangum stroke:

 

33.5 inches, 74 degree lie, 3 degrees of loft. Eyes over the line.

35" SC SSS Newport Beach 1.5 is standard 4* and 71*

34" TM Rossa Sebring 3 w/AGSI is 3* and 70*

 

I stand fairly upright with an arc stroke honed by many years of playing with and original Acushnet Bullseye. 34" is the right length for me but I just don't want to cut down the Scotty; my gamer on good, fast greens.

I've added weight to my all my putters (Newport, Monza Corza, Two-Ball blade ... yeah, I got a few on the go!) to compensate for the swingweight issue.

 

I have a fairly wide stance to improve stability and lower my centre of gravity, which is probably why my putters are sooooo short. I also think my eye line is in a better position with the shorter putter.
