Putter headcovers

EVERYone should. I hate seeing ppl selling putters that look awful, because they were too lazy to put on a headcover...same ppl prob dont shower either

Yep, mostly to protect shafts and it sits between my driver and 3w and keeps them from rattling around as much too.

when you have a soft steel putter, there is no reason not to. Unless you have a putter well. Then I guess it doesnt matter

Yep, of course, I use a Scotty Cameron headcover. You cant bang that thing up

Yes. Keep the head cover on in the cart and leave it in the cart. I don't take it with me to the green.

I think 50% of the reason I put a head cover on the putter is to keep it from banging into my wedges creating a lot of bag chatter on those clubs.

Always. As I'm walking to the green, the putter comes out, the headcover goes on the alignment sticks in my bag. Coming off the green, the putter gets wiped, headcover goes back on before the putter goes in the bag.

In part, I do it this way every time because I've lost that headcover 3 times. It's a GolfWRX "Flying Tigers" shark mouth cover. The cover is camouflage. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a camouflage headcover when you just set it down in the fringe?

Always use a headcover. Also started buying some older Scotty Cameron headcovers. What a terrible habit...

I've got a bunch of different putter covers. The Deliah custom covers are awesome.

But my favorites are the old shoes from when my boys were younger. The toddler size shoes work great and look cool on a putter. (plus I have a whole box of them around so many choices of styles and colors)

When traveling to and from the golf course, definitely. Partly to protect the putter but mostly to protect other clubs from the putter.

 

I pull it off when I'm warming up on the practice green and put it back on when I finish putting on the 18th. Too much trouble to take it on and off during a round.

 

If I had one of these beauties I might have to carry the putter around with me every day just to admire the cover...

Always use a head cover on putter, must have magnetic closure though as do not like Velcro for durability or noise it creates.

I use a putter cover, and irons covers. (Gasp!) Too much money tied up in the putter to not use it and let it get beat up.

Tuba, this is what I use. Black leather, fur lined, velcro. It won't fall off and they're like an ol' leather jacket when they get broke in. I started using one years ago with an old Slotline putter. They came with them. Now I get them off the bay when they're available.
Thought I'd throw that out there, don't know if you've tried one yet.

As a long time caddie i can assure you that it is highly necessary to cover the putter. Walking around with a bag and no cover is bad news for your putter and any colored shafts you may have. I know its a pain in the a** first hand but wrap it up

Nice. Lots of "character" on that one. Plus you'll never have to worry about someone stealing your putter with that on top.

Yes, I use use a putter cover, I also use headcovers for my driver, fairways,and hybrids and iron covers on my irons. I believe in being safe and protected.

Always, always, always!!! The only time the headcover isnt on my putter is when Im putting. It makes me crazy to see all these used putters on Ebay that all all but ruined from people who dont use the putter cover.

I do because I use a white mallet and it would likely get all chipped and marred if I didn't. I would want to protect any putter, and the adjacent shafts as well, from damage. It's prudent to use headcovers.

Sometimes, If I'm carting, I'll leave the HC off my driver, but I'd never leave the HC off the putter

Agreed. I'm walking more (not in the hot summer months), but if I'm in a cart, the putter is always covered. Besides the protection, it's a good way to personalize the bag a little.

I always use a headcover. I also have one of the themed Scotty Cameron headcovers as I think they look kool and unique.

My #9 Black Series i is covered whenever in the bag, too nice to let get banged up.
