What Ball are you playing now?

Titleist NXT... Probably have somewhat slower clubhead speed than some of you Y chromosome types and, from posts above a lot less expendable cash budget. Would never play Titleist before -- didn't feel good off the club, yada yada yada AND the cover looked dingy after about 2 trips through the ballwashers. Was given a sleeve of the NXTs to try and fell instantly in love. Long off the tee, stop on the greens, and yet don't feel like I'm hitting a rock. Besides, the price is more in my range of under $30/doz -- found them at a range for $19. How can you loose?

I still prefer the ProV1x over the other balls that I've tried. Don't get me wrong, the Maxfli Black Max, Callaway HX Tour, Bridgestone B330 and Precept U-Tri Tour are all performance balls, but I'm always going back to the Titleist.

My current "gamer" ball is the Callaway HX Tour.

 

However, next week my college golf season starts, and I'll transition over to the Pro V1.

 

I still need to try the HX Tour 56 and the B-330S though.

Callaway HX Tour, best ball for the money IMHO.

 

Once leaves start to fall I'll play some of the Strata Tour Aces I got for $6 a dozen.

I play Noodle Rotini's. I honestly feel that I'm at the point in my game where my ball selection really doesn't matter. These babies are cheap, feel good enough, and work well enough for me for the small amount of "work" I can ever put on a ball. Right now, I think it's ridiculous for me (key word: ME) to pay any more than $20 a doz. for golf balls. To each their own though. I'm sure if money were no object, I'd be playing Black Max's, B330's, or ProV's... and still hacking them around the course, hehe.

I usually play the ProV1, but today on a whim I decided to try a sleeve of HX Tours. Lenght off the driver and feel off the putter was comparable to the ProV1. In fact I thought it rolled exceptionally well on the greens. Approach shots with irons seemed a little short, but not a huge problem. I am tempted to invest in a dozen and making a switch.

I just used the HX Tour 56, very nice ball. I don't know if it can replace the ProV X 's but I will be using it when I play with my Callaway's.

Am I the only one playing the Tourstage X01 (1st choice) and X01S (2nd choice)? I try different balls all the time. These are no doubt the best ball for me. I find the X01H too clicky sort of like the B330 Tour.

Yup, those OPs (other people's) are probably the best buy until you decide on a specific brand. It was amazing to find what appeared to be an entire sleeve in the same area.

I really like the ProV1's but for the past month I have used the Ben Hogan Tour Deep. Feels great and does everything it's supposed to. I've heard they are almost identical to the Cally 56. Anyone else playing Hogans?

The best ball on the market for me is the One Plat or Balck. They are more durrable than anything I have tried and stay white. :clapping: :cheesy:

I'm really liking the Nike One Platinum at the moment. Plenty long and very nice feel and spin around the green...

I am liking the Wilson Staff TX4 right now. I was spinning the black max too much and the B330 was not very durable but I liked the ball. I feel like the TX4 is a more durable version of the b330. The TX4 for me does not spin as much as the Prov1 or the Black Max. Where I was backing the ball off the green with the black Max these just check and that is what I prefer.

I have been playing the Srixon Z-UR lately...it seems much longer than the VX....almost too long off irons. I was air mailing a bunch of greens so I have had to club down.
