Anyone still using older Ping putters?

Picked up my 50th Ping it seems last week at my local PIAS. Ping Pal-2 in BeCu. Got it to mess around with. Solid as they come, and it got me wondering who if any, still games these older Pings? Please chime in, thanks, Scott

FWIW, This past summer, my jaw hit the floor when I got a cherry Ping Dalehead there for $14 !!!!!!!!!! Thats right, thought I'd make a killing in re-sale, but alas, sold it for $90 since they have tanked in value. Darn shame

I played and still have in rotation my ping anser 2, which has chapions golf club stamped on the bottom. I used to have a becu ping anser and like an idiot got rid of it about 10 years ago. I love the looks of the anser but mine was to light and put a bunch of lead tape in the cavity.

Anser's are the model that everyone copied and for good reason!

I play in a league that is probably 50% older gentlemen. I cannot count the older Pings I see, and each one attached to a guy who will putt lights out. I still see a lot when playing else where. They work as well as they ever did.

still rotate in a Ping Ally G2 stainless - not as old as those old dinosaurs putters, but it's was my first and as you know you always remember your first. They don't even make that headstyle anymore I guess.

i just bought a karsten anser because it feels the same as my G2 anser, which i still also use. it's like 5-6 years old so not too bad

I have been using a mid 90's Anser for most of the last 3 years. I make alot of putts with it.

i still game a ping o-blade and most likely will for a long time i love it it is just such a simple putter and the feel is magnificent. ping putters are just beautiful and think there underestimated alot.

I'm using a 33 inch ping anser 3. I like it because I get really nice feedback and it's really consistent. The putter is just hard to knock out of the bag. An SC PP will come December 25th though.

Seriously though, they are great on all greens and easy to hit with the level of feedback you get.

I have a Ping G2 Anser, that still goes into the bag when one of my other putters needs a "time out"

My Dad still uses an old beat up ping zing, I bought him a new zing redwood to replace it for christmas, but he'll probably put in the closet. haha

Ping Anser 2i...still has the length sticker on the bottom of the toe. Never bothered to pull it off, now I'm waiting for it to fall off from natural causes.

Still have, and occasionally use, the Ping Anser that I bought new in 1980. I thought I had lost my senses by paying $32 retail for it at the golf shop then. It was the very first NEW golf club that I ever purchased. I have always covered it, before headcovers were used much, so it is in great shape....just deep dark in color. Changed the grip several times, but always with the original style Ping grip that came with it.

I have a recently acquired Anser 2 becu which is a beauty, a Scottsdale BENI which I've had for ages and a Karsten Anser all of which will be seeing action in the coming season, they're certainly getting a good carpeting at the moment. The Karsten is superb - Must be the best value out there. I too would like to see "The 50" bet theres some crackers in there!

I have played the same Ping Anser 3 for 24 years and counting. It's the first golf club I bought with my own money and I will never use a different putter. The only thing I have done to it is regrip it with a modern, oversized Winn putter grip. This putter feels soft, sounds great and sets up perfectly.

Nothing comes close to this classic.

Have a few, but my anser2 from 20+ years back I passed along to a junior this year with the stipulation that he keep it forever, give it back when he no longer wanted it, or pass it along to someone else that was just starting to play. He really liked it so it seemed like the right thing to do.

Just picked up a nice Anser 2 at auction. Love my 12 year old Cameron, but tired of a) the constant worry over screwing it up and b) messing with the dang headcover.

They all make it out for a round or two each year just for the nostalgia, but the Anser with the sound slot is my best performer. The Faith gets the most attention. They are all amazing for what they represent.

I used Pings forever...until just recently. I had a Anser 4 which I had for some time, and then sold it to a friend. Later on I purchased a great BeCu B61 putter (Yes a B61 not a B60) Bought it off of eBay for about 30 bucks, and then sold it years later for over 100. At that point I bought a really old Ping Kushin putter at a horrible golf show. (filled with knock-offs etc) Found it sitting in a corner and I then bargained the price down to 15 bucks. It was amazing. I wish I still had that Kushin...I might have to snag another off of eBay....hmmm.....
