Guys, because of all the Masters excitement, I finally broke down today and hit this Mint WB Masters driver, 43.5 inches long, D4 SW, R300. Its solid ! I hit 2 shots and you would never know by looking at it. Whew !! Great stick. This was a 1992 or 93 Model. Dave incorporated Seve's personal design ideas into this club.

I'd load my Seve driver pics, but I've had it with WRX not accepting iPad photos as "too large" to post. The last 9 or 10 times I've gotten that message is enough. I don't wish to spend time resizing all my club files.

 

I'll just stick to my other sites, which accept 'em. I'm taking my ball and going home!

What a beautiful club. My father used to have Red and Black Kool Kat deivers back in the day. I think he may actually still have on in the garage. Not sure. I'm a leftie so I was always so jealous of them. If my father still has his I think I'm going to mount it on the wall in my garage/man-cave remodel

Left handed Wood Bros drivers are very rare - only Texans and a very few Corkers were made - no Kool Cats, at least as far as I know.

It is a way around it, but I have literally hundreds, maybe a thousand club pictures and I'm not gonna be doing conversions.

 

I post all my stuff elsewhere with no problem and only venture back over here in response to my long time friends here.

 

After a dozen years here, it's always a sometimes thing 1,700+ posts here but 12,000+ elsewhere.

P S In reviewing this thread, I note that I previously posted pics of my Seve drivers on Page 1,back in 2010, so my work here is done. I've even acquired the Sluman and very early Texan on page 1 for my collection since then. Excelsior!

I have a problem posting pictures here because simple iPad photos are "too large".

 

With literally hundreds of club photos in my files, I'm not going to resize the library.

 

I post other places with no problems.

 

So, even though I'm one of the earliest , long-time members here - that also means I'm old and stubborn.

 

If it won't post, I forget it , and communicate with friends directly.

BL "Oh, yeah"... "Wood Bros made great clubs" he said... Rex, re: the Staffs, no, but tomorrow I will.....

Langer is the model professional and some of the younger generation should seek out his advice on how to stay fit and out of the headlines for the wrong reasons. I recall seeing his battered up Hogan irons, sans chrome and was tod they took the chrome off to get his exact weighting. Germanic precision.

Ol Partner, I think I did see a Hogan long iron in his bag today, although I wasn't looking with intent really. I'll look when I'm there later this week.

 

Texs, I spoke to Sluman again today for a few minutes about that driver. I had Clubhouse access today so when I saw him my buddy and I were the only ones near Jeff. He was really cool. Today I said "Jeff the driver I had sat a tad closed and the insert was heel biased and Dave Wood said you hit your shots off the inside screw heel side" Jeff "Yep, thats right, I still hit it in the heel but no screws any more" then he laughed. He signed my US Open program..

 

P.s I also told Jeff I had hit his Texan before and it was pretty awesome. He seemed to be somewhat amused by that.
