The RAZR Blade won't be releasing now , that the rep of australia told me . this is just for the tour for now on ....

Just bought a set of X-prototypes 3-PW with DGS300 in them. Very glad I did! Amazing looking irons. RAZR, not so good.

Prototype looks good but most likely to serious golfers that love their gear........most ppl that buy irons are just normal golfers and prototype looks and sounds to pro (meaning looks and sounds like its for low handicappers). The market is simply not there.

I don't mind the graphics, at least we X-proto players can still get these once our grooves wear out. Nevermind, who on this site actually plays their irons until their grooves are worn out?

I don't remember the thread, but I saw a posting on this site stating the "new" X-protos would be available to retail but only through custom order via callaway...or something like that. Sounded like to me you won't be able to pick them up in a store, but you'll be able to order them if you want 'em. I don't recall seeing anything regarding a release date though.

Has a release date been established for these irons yet? If not, Cally has no chance at my $$$ for this year. I waited to long to get the Xprotos so I was hoping to pick up a set in the new line.

Below is the response that I got when I asked Callaway customer service. Does not seem like they are interested in promoting the Razr MB at this time.

Your best bet is probably here on the BST. You can throw up a "Want To Buy" ad and see if anyone has them around. I can't remember if it was in this specific thread, but I did hear these irons were going to be available to public, just had to be custom ordered through Cally. They won't be available off the shelf in stores, but you'll be able to buy them...

Of course, that's from another thread on this very site as well, so I don't know how true it is, just passing it along.

I've been playing Callaway since 07... their next move was 09 X-forged, which wasn't bad.. and then came X-Proto... a nicer club.. but UGLY BADGING just to match the club with other new introductions is IMO a major marketing mistake.

If I were moving into the looking phase, I most likely will NOT buy RaZr-X blades. NOT into tricked up names or logos; for that matter most (not all) people that play those type of heads like clean and simple. If Callaway wants to attract better players, tricked up graphics is NOT the right way to go.

Agreed! Im not a huge fan of the name but I can say that about most club models that are out now. These will sell big just like the original x proto's...

the badging was so much cleaner and nicer on the original x protoypes...if its not broke don't fix it
