I received a email from Callaway (3-9-2011) saying that they will be released in both right and left handed on May 1. It also said to contact an authorized dealer to pre-order them. I went through my C.C. and ordered 4-pw with project x non flighted. Shipping mid April!!! Cannot wait, I just hope they are not $1500 lol.

I don't know a price yet, he just said they are on order and should ship mid April. I assume they will be either $1000 or $1500 plus upgraded shaft costs. If I find out the cost sooner than later I'll post it.

Thanks for posting this info. These are the irons I really want since I cannot order the protos with my specs from Cally any longer. I just hope that they do not price these at $1499.00 like their predecessors... If they are part if the TA line then expect a hefty price!!!

I tt boys at DD's today who stated that they will be able to pre order these on 4/1. They will be pricey though... I will base my ultimate decision after I hit the MB's at the Kingdom this week!!!

I have yet to see the grooves on the new RAZR MBs'. Are they going to be as tightly spaced as the new Tours, and their wedges? Nikes new blades are also tightly spaced! Anyone know??

They'll probably be more expensive on the ShopCallaway site, as all their new clubs this year are are higher priced than they are at retail stores (though the prices in previous years at their site used to be the same you'd pay at retail stores). This year the ShopCallaway site bumped up prices to about 10% more than retail store prices.

With that said, I'd expect the ShopCallaway site to continue this unfortunate trend of pricing higher than retail stores, but I'd be VERY SHOCKED if the retail store prices were also bumped up, and expect these clubs there to come in at around $1000, maybe $1200 tops (but even that would be on the high end).

Callaway website has them showing "available May 1st", I'm surprised by the specs though. They have a 46* PW when the RAZR X Forged have a 47* PW, that kind of seems backwards to me...

They look great though, and I did really love playing the X-Proto's last year for a little while. These look like they may replace my MacGregor's when I have to switch to CC grooves.
