I say hell no! Looks absolutely ridiculous. If you had to absolutley have a staff bag, get a sun mountain push cart or something. That looks good.

Who cares cause when you have........

Forged blades with SST Or spined shafts that are too stiff
Exotic $300 asian shafts in woods
'tour issue and tour van heads
Custom vokey wedges
$400+ milled putter
Logos on hat, shirt, and $250 shoes

Why stop at the bag?
Great point. So many wonder about the staff bag but one could show up on the first tee with an old Ping L8 and Adidas ATVs and you just know the other guys are thinkin....."what a poser".

I was at the course yesterday. I saw some 50 year old guy get his Titleist staff bag out of his trunk. Stand it up next to his car with his trunk open. He took a few clubs to the range where there is a 100ft rope designating where to hit from. He proceeds to hit in the VERY back of the range where the fresh grass is. Yup, being the jerk I am, I went in front of him near the rope where I am suppose to hit from. He left the range. He left me with a bad taste about people with staff bags.

I admit it, I had one, sorta. When I first started playing I went thru three different sets of irons in the first six months, and on the third set from the same shop I was made a deal on a miniature Top Flite staff bag - looked like a full-sized tour bag but was only 10 inches diameter, iirc. I liked that I had room for all my stuff and the grips weren't getting hung up all the time. But I traded it in when I bought my FOURTH set of irons a month later and got a stand bag. I used to see guys with full staff bags, all matching clubs, matching towels and umbrellas and clothes, etc. who played as badly as I did and we'd snicker a little bit at 'em.

Now though, I couldn't care less.

I'd think the vast majority on WRX probably use a bag with a manufacturer's name/logo emblazoned on both carry and cart bags. So obviously brand/logo is OK, therefor all we are really debating is size. Why would a larger bag mean anything other than it is a large bag, regardless of the owners ability to play the game ????
This is one of the most logical posts I've ever read on WRX...I don't own a staff bag..I admit, it's for fear of being judged...but my hdcp is darn near scratch now I feel like I have the game to back up the look.

I have two one collects dust and the other I just put into play for the summer. I just got tired of shoving my extra clothes and clubs into the Titleist carry bags I have used for the last 10 years. We don't get to walk anymore except late winter/spring so why not have the extra room. I love the "don't judge a player by what is in his bag" issue. I feel anyone who is concerned with someones golf choices may have thier own issues( just saying)...Play the game and have fun!!!!!

It seems that the posters that are against having a Staff Bag are the ones who are the golf snobs. It is just a bag, nothing else. The bag you use has nothing to do with how well you play.

I am more disappointed in players who must have the clubs that are marked for Tour Only. My game has nothing in common with the game of a tour player. Their golf shafts are usually much stiffer than even a good amateur can manage. Still, I see a ton of them being bought and sold on this site. The sellers are the ones who are unloading what they were unable to hit, and the buyers are the suckers who think they can.

Yes, I have a staff bag..........I use it to store extra clubs.

If you are not a PGA professional, Touring pro, or playing on some kind of tour, what do you need a Staff bag for?
Really - why does a tour pro need a staff bag? Rain gear when it is in the forecast, a few snacks and gloves don't require that much room.

I will never use one unless I end up on tour (so I will never use one), but I won't judge someone who does... well maybe a little but I wouldn't say anything. :derisive:
