Lose the velcro headcovers. Please for the love of everything do something else. Magnetic and neoprene are superior in many ways. Why won't you do something new?! Seriously I game the odysseys in my collection over my scotty's because of the headcovers (yes I'm one of those that HAS to have the proper headcover). Pretty Please?

I don't hate the Velcro but always liked the shape of Cameron covers the best. I would prefer the Cameron shape with the way PING designed the new Anser milled covers which are perfect...IMO.

The Tour Rat is $2500...lol. Seriously though, that's why there are retail models. Tour putters are for tour players and high end collectors, he doesn't want everybody to have one. They're not $3,000 because they are better made or better putters, that will depend on what the buyer is looking for...they're $3000 because that's what the market/collector is willing to pay for them. Lowering the price of them at this point would be watering down his own product.

I like the velcro AM&E covers. I've got some of just about every type and they are still the best.
Sorry to say I'm using a Bettinardi putter now with it's limp .... cover and I hate it, but I have no problem dropping it on the ground

I wish they would stop boasting on their website that so and so won with this putter and so and so won this tournament with this putter.And none of the putters they won with are ever available to the public. It drives me crazy to see putters that are supposedly so great but we can't have one. Funny how i never see them boasting a tour player winning with a retail version of their putters. Apparantly those $350 putters are not good enough for real players.

Actually, I do think he wants everyone to buy the $3000 tour putter. Especially since it is usually a retail putter with minor modifications. These putters never had a prayer of seeing the tour. They are just labeled as such to sell for outrageous prices. If they were tour only, then why could I go to one of his 5 preferred retailers and order a tour putter? I also don't like that he will break his own rules at the custom shop or alter "tour" putters for preferred customers. I will go with the not charging $300 as well. This has been discussed before, but he has $40-50 max in each putter and that is probably on the high side. Is that type of markup really necessary?

I'm gonna get blasted I'm sure but, everybody is doing it. First, his wholesale on putters is not $300. So he's making we'll say $150 when he sells a putter to a vendor. He still has to pay all his employees, operating costs, equipment and tour players. Its the same thing for every company trying to make money. TaylorMade charges $400 for a driver with what maybe $20 in actual cost. Don't forget marketing, R&D, tour staff, employees all this stuff adds up. The $3,000 markup is not necessary that I agree with but $300...yes it is necessary. The $3,000 putters aren't for your average golfer, they are for collectors.
