FOR ALL THE TAYLORMADE DISCIPLES--A QUESTION

what is their lowest spinning driver head of all time in your opinion?

title states it all, i have hit quite a few heads of theirs and now have a diamana whiteboard on the way and am looking to put it in a 10.5 low spin head for a killer combo. (and i just really like taylormade drivers so thats what i am going to get) i know the adams/bridgestone and others may be better, just dont like them as much.

so which one of the many Taylormade products do you think are the lowest spinning heads in your experience.

i realize that you may not have had the same shaft in everyone that you hit, but i am sure you could tell the difference to a large degree.

here is my rank based on my experience (note i have not hit r11 series yet)

1. r7 425 tp
2. superfast tp version 1
3. r9 superdeep
4. burner 460 tp
5. tour burner tp
6. r7 tp superquad black

of course i have had the r510tp and r580tp as well as that old sams club fav burner 420 and those were good too, but unless you really feel a model older than the r7 line is hotter then lets keep it to the r7 and up.

I guessing you're talking retail offerings, otherwise the R11 Dot is probably the big winner...other than that, Superdeep is #1 for me....

For me.. The r7 Quad was the best but i don't really like TM. What they have done via advertising and marketing their newest product to basically tell you o yea that r11 u bought 5 months ago is obsolete .. Sickens me

Apple uses a 1 year refresh cycle. The iPhone 4S came out 16 months after the iPhone 4.

Taylormade released the R11 in early 2011, and the R11s in early 2012, so what's the difference?

The first iPad came out in April 2010. The iPad 2 came out in March 2011. The new iPad releases shortly. Why does anyone without the name TaylorMade who is on a one year cycle not get any wrath? TV's, cars, the lost goes on forever. The hate people have for this is insane. This thread has absolutely nothing to do with product cycles and then you have someone yank it out of the woodwork anyway.

I currently have the R9 Superdeep and the SFTP 1.0, owned the Burner TP 2007 and the R510TP also....for these in order of lowest spin: (for me at least)

1. R9 Superdeep--Kai'li 70X

2. SFTP 1.0-- Kai'li 70X

3. R510TP--Speeder 757 stiff( like everyone elses X though)

4. Burner TP 2007.-- Graphite Design TP made for TM...2.7 torque, high kick..65-67 grams...!

ALL of them are BEASTS in the right shafts!!

Definately the Superdeep. It was so low and so unforgiving the pro's wouldn't play it. But man, when you hit it on the very teeny tiny sweetspot, it was LOOOOONNGGGG!!!

Based on my results on the range, a regular 420cc R9 with an Ahina 70x.

I would say the Superdeep is right there too.

Every other one spun more from my experience. Only the r7 425 came close. Even tour issued ones like the 07 Burner v2 and SQ 282 spun too much for me to use for any length of time.

R9 Original head......set the weights 8-1-8
R7 425 TP.......over course mine was bent open to about 6.5 degrees!

Yes but at least with their products, there are indisputable improvements. Faster, better graphics, etc.

I'd venture that many/most Mac consumers could do 99.99999% of everything they need to accomplish with their "PC's" on an iPhone 3GS, and a bluetooth keyboard. Seriously.

According to the TM RBZ launch chat we had on here, the r11s comes within 200 rpm of the Superdeep . . . but Superdeep is still the lowest spin.

Superdeep is the lowest I've played.

Depending how you set it up, the original R7 could be very low spin as well, roughly the same as 425TP.

That said, I've avoided the white models...

Not sure why people hate on new products coming out??? I think most people on here love new gear no matter who it is from. If it is not an improvement then when would I or anybody else use it?? I think the real problem is ego and people always having to have the latest and greatest. The more stuff an OEM comes out with the more chances we have to improve current equipment....not sure I see the problem? The more new stuff the better!!!
