One day I would love to truly understand how these guys hit it this far or create such crazy club head speed. I have the view that you're born with a certain max club head speed and while you can tweak it a bit, I've not heard of too many cases where a guy goes from 95MPH to 125 MPH using a speed chain or some workout program to improve fast twitch muscle.

i wish he'd join this site under some name like madbomberz, start a thread claiming to have a 140mph swing speed, and then post a swing vid while wearing chin puddy and a fake beard and watch as 100 people call him a liar and say the readings are juiced and wrong. And then he would reveal himself as Jamie Sadlowski, and 100 more people would post replies to the earlier 100 with the "you've been schooled" emoticon

in some instances, it sometimes [i]looks[/i] like they're not swinging any harder or faster than some of the top long driving pga tour pros, but gosh, these long drive guys are seriously in a different league. i would seriously love to see at one point in time a long driver who has an awesome short game be successful on the tour.

with clubhead speeds that high, i dont think it's actually possible to have a high smash factor. someone more technical can tell you why but i've heard that before. anyway, tiger is like 1.48, so i think he's doing ok

what i think is funny watching the video, he drives it almost 450, and gets outdriven... wow.

I was kidding of course :P

I read in a thread here that with the driver, 1.494 is the highest. Tecnically, you could go higher with a heavier clubhead but it would also be harder (read unrealistic) to get enough clubhead speed. That's taking the rules of golf into account, i.e. a COR of 0.830...w/e the f*** that means.

I bet if he went to a golf instructor, he would shorten his swing by about 3 feet.

Just goes to show that there are many "ideal positions" but different body types finish the full load in different places.

It's interesting to hear him wanting to play in professional events, but he would need to back way off that swing

He has been golfing, played in the boise open on Web.com tour...didnt make cut but his swing is getting there if he wanted to play some day. Wolter tested top 20% in explosive ability at Olympic training when he tired for Javelin, so yes these guys in the top are made with this ability to swing faster, they never train for it. Just train to be in shape and other body parts to work with their swing. Its amazing to see these guys in person and 5 ft from you. Showing BW in that vid as comparison is a bit off, IMO. He plays 44" driver for one thing, and his stats for driving are fantastic for his ball speed. Very fun to watch...are you guys getting this on a broadcast somewhere? What channel?

Yes Brian, Jamie is amazing, as for best right now, mmmm hard to say since he doesnt really compete in LDA Tour events, just Worlds and Colorado this year. And Yes he does hit Adams.....my post was stating why I put it up in the thread.....See you in Mesquite brotha!!! And we need to get together and go golf on your side one of these days, I know Mitch goes out with ya couple times now.
