REALLY dumb. I have no problem with people carrying guns, but to leave one in your carry-on is the epitome of stupidity.

I have to admit I've had two Swiss Army knives confiscated (keep one on my key chain) because I forgot to put it in my checked bag.

I wouldn't characterize his appearance in the mugshot as "tipsy", but I don't know the guy and have no idea what his "normal" look is.

So he forgot to remove his non-concealed-carry-permit gun from his bag. So what?? (said with extreme sarcasm) My question is how long has he been carrying a concealed weapon without a permit?

I doubt he had any bad intentions, but I have to call him a dumbass for this.

I've had some sports-related back n' forths with him on Twitter before. Seems like a down to Earth guy based off his twitter feed.

Seems to me like he just forgot/made a stupid mistake. No need for the 2nd amendment debate.

This incident doesn't change my opinion of him one bit. On the scale of real crimes, this one is pretty much near the bottom. No victims, nobody's civil liberties were violated.

It does, however, showcase which WRX'ers have gun-related axes to grind (one way or the other). If we could leave that on other more appropriate forums then we wouldn't have this one sitting in the moderator penalty box right now.

Hopefully Blanks clears this one up quickly.

Was it a felony? Yes we have a right to bear arms under the 2nd amendment and can carry one with a license. If you own a loaded gun and don't know where it is then you shouldn't even own a gun. This my man is a moron to the nth degree.
