It is Bend. Very southwest Denver And the views are as spectacular as they look.

Moraine just reopened this year after a major restoration, which included the removal of a ridiculous amount of trees. I was fortunate enough to play it back in September and it truly is an awesome place. I fully plan on taking advantage of the reciprocal my club has with Moraine for the next 4 years!

 

The competition between Moraine and NCR just keeps pushing them to get better and better. FairwayFred and Bend of the River, did either of you play NCR this year and if so how would you compare the 2 now that Moraine has made significant changes?

I think the 2 courses were close 10 years ago before all the work started at Moraine but like I said now it's not even a competition. Give Moraine a few years for the new grass to grow in, fescue areas to come alive etc and I think Moraine jumps into some pretty ratified air when it comes to golf courses.

Sad part is that I didn't even have my clubs to play! Wind was blowing crazy right before a huge storm. Didn't feel like any other course I have ever been on. Like it's own little piece of heaven! Can't wait to get back and let it beat me to death! The undulation in the greens were like nothing I'd ever seen. Kudos to the guy in the shop that let me roam around and grab some pics!

You definitely need to get back and play. There are few courses in the world I'd rather spend a day playing golf on than Sweetens Cove. It's like a little slice of Ireland or Scotland in the middle of TN.

Played Sweetens on a quick weekend trip to Chattanooga (fun town) with my wife back in May, what an awesome place. I would love to play here day in and day out!
