In any case, Kiawah looks great. I'm trying to plan a short vacation there in late June. I played it last more than 10 years ago in wind and rain in March, lost 10+ balls, shot like 125, but it was a fantastic experience.

All these courses looks so much nicer than the ones I have in my area. Or maybe its because other people's golf courses always look better.

There are some great courses in San Francisco. I remember a time when two courses here were in the top 20 of Golf Digest's US list. Unfortunately, its the Olympic Club and San Francisco GC which are both private. I got a chance to play both just once as a guest and that was a long time ago. I guess I love the surroundings of a golf course in the dessert or in an extremely rural area. Here, we get big buildings and condos...and not pretty ones.

The Silvertip pics are absurd!! The only thing that comes close imo within reasonable proximity is Jackson Hole (The Tetons). I've been lucky enough to play a few sick courses in Montana but nothing quite like what's near the Alberta/BC border.

 

I love the picks of The Ocean Course at Kiawah too. It's always been fairly high on my bucket list!

Played Taconic this afternoon. I'm a sucker for traditional golf courses and this places oozes it! It's still early in the season in the Berkshires so the conditions were "B'ish". It's a fantastic place! It's about as idyllic as it gets in terms of history and location! I plan on returning over the summer!

Nice, Griffin Gate, The Bull at Boones Trace and Kearney are my favorite of those 3. Gibson Bay is a tough test as well.
