You guys all also missed my point. I never said the Bengals dominated the Pats. Simply said beating the Steelers isnt a feat and then asked if he remembered what happened last time the Bengals played the Pats.

Now if only the team (Bengals) that beat NE, GB and Det didn't struggle against the bottom feeding Browns, Dolphins and Ravens (this year they really suck).

I actually think both the call and the no call were correct by the refs. The ruling against the Jets may have been ticky-tac and not your everyday call, but, the call was right. Picking up the flag last night I think was also the right move. No chance Gronk can make that catch. I will give you benefit of the doubt though and say that the throw was relatively close enough that you could make a case either way. I just think it was uncatchable.

Silverbullets is right. The call could have went either way, but I think it was called correctly. It was uncatchable, without a doubt.

LOL this is priceless. I know alot of people hate NE for whatever reason, but they got boned plain and simple. If you say otherwise, you are crazy.

How do you know? The safety picked off the pass max 2 yards in front of him where the foul began.....whose to say it doesnt deflect off his shoulder into the air? Gronk was facing the ball and being bear hugged and held while being pushed back not to mention Kuechly never looked back at the ball (every single method of PI Kuechly committed). [b]AT THE MINIMUM [/b]it was D holding or illegal contact. Which meant another play. PI equals a play from the goal line.....The worst part about this is, they threw the flag....convened for a conference and decided no penalty occurred essentially. If it was not PI, it sure as hell was holding or illegal contact.

So now when a WR is running a fly deep route, and the CB drags him down and the WR falls and the ref throws the flag at the spot.....but the QB throws it down field in anticipation where hed be.....the safety picks it 25 yards down field......its uncatchable so pick the flag up? Is that what you are saying???? Please, get out of here with that mess.

That is 2 games this weekend that were decided by blatantly awful blown calls.

The ball was actively being thrown. Because of that, it nullifies the fact of Defensive holding. Cannot be illegal contact because Brady is outside of the pocket. The only flag/foul that could have been called would be Defensive Pass Interference. According to the rules, DPI does not apply after the ball has touched a person or the ground, or IF the ball is deemed uncatchable (among a myriad of other clauses). Those conditions were both met in the eye's of the officials after they talked.

Do I like the game to end that way? No. Was it a questionable call? Absolutely.

But the ref's were absolutely within their right and discretion under the rulebook to call it that way.

Lol........Gronk was held prior the pass and as soon as he went into the endzone. Illegal contact is illegal contact no matter where the qb is......and the ball wasn't touched until it was picked. So nice try making up some rules....

All three of those penalties were on the table there and it's laughable that not one was called.
