You haven't heard Phil prattling on about how much he loves playing with the TW and how it brings out his best golf? I like Phil but this is proof that he is kind of lazy, that he doesn't give 100% every time he tees it up. I guess his record speaks of that too, he is about as likely to MC as he is to win.

in recent years with phil and tiger in the same pairing....phil has scored better 7 times with tiger at 5

good point, kemau, it's not that dominant then...i was thinking back to the pebble beach pairing when phil stomped on him; as for exquitechips' point, EVERYONE on tour except tiger is more likely to MC than win, so that seems like a stretch implying phil doesn't try all the time -- i'm thinking phil's game is much more of a rollercoaster, and he doesn't stay hot forever, whereas tiger historically is just always consistently good
