I'd also like to see the recue mid tp redone in some fashion. I think most can agree, that was the best hybrid Taylormade ever made

For the blade... remove all branding from the back of an MP14, put a TM logo across the muscle, add a MB on the heel side high, then a TP logo on the high toe. This is what my source told me who has seen the MBs!

my skepticism remains firmly in place.

1) Callaway irons aren't exactly pretty if you ask me. The diablo line? ack. the razr x forged isn't bad, but still pretty busy. the prototypes do look good though.
2) this is like when we see "pre-production" new cars. the engineers and designers put out something really cool at the auto shows that enthusiasts get excited about, but then the marketing and accounting guys get a hold of it and totally ruin everything....leaving us with a shell of a car that nobody wants. then the marketing guys say "see, we told you nobody wants a sports car anymore, we can't sell these things."

Love the shape of the MP14 but the only thing I would not like would be the offset. After reading the thread I went and fetched my Mizzy MP14 and didnot realize how much offset they had. I hope the new blade is in line with the TP smoke blades.

Money, I'm not a huge TM guy but got professionally fitted for the SLDR after many 18 hole on-course demos. The results just didn't lie. I hit that thing in places I've never been with my G25..it was ridiculous! I can honestly say on some sharp dogleg holes I hit the SLDR OB into the water at the end of the fairway where it turns! And I didn't even care b/c I was laughing at how far it went!

I am about to pick up a STG 2 Tour FW as well, but curious if there are any rumblings of a new FW line. Love the STG 2, but would love a FW with the same finish as the SLDR even MORE!

Yes, the Stage 2 FW's are awesome. Heard on XM Radio TM guy saying new FW's next year!
Might want to wait as It appears they have some new Technology in them

Awesome!!! I'm glad you are liking your SLDR. I have not even hit it yet (surprisingly) because I want to wait until the offseason to tinker. I cannot wait to hit it though!!! I have heard new fwys and hybrids are coming but I have no other info then that. I try to post all of the details on here so my Wrx family is in the know with me.

I'm gaming the SLDR TP with Matrix black tie 7m3 x flex and it will hopefully stay In my bag over my Tour Issue RBZ TP. I don't hit it any longer but my dispersion has tightened up and I can work it almost as good as the smaller head I am used to. As for the irons I told you guys no forged offerings this cycle but my inside guy let me kno that a new line of players clubs will be here hopefully before The Masters in April. New fairways and hybrids to come hopefully around the same timeframe if not by the US Open. From what I was told they will be hotter than the original RBZ and much easier to get into the air off the deck.

If you get the SLDR then it would be wise to get fit for it. This is a great driver when you get your numbers right but if you don't you will end up hating it. I think most of the people that hate it didn't get fit properly leading to a poor experience. I usually hit a 10.5* but with the SLDR the 12* was the winner for me. I couldn't keep the 10.5* SLDR in the air at all due to the super low spin rates.

I've heard the same about the crazy high lofts needed because of the minuscule spin rates. I'd love to get fitted for a SLDR, but due to being broke ill stick with my new R1 with whiteboard.

And playing that combo longer, assuming its a good fit for you now, will only net you better consistency, which will allow you to swing harder which will give you better distance and accuracy.
