Best Fairway Wood off the deck?

trust me on this one (did a thread on it a few days ago)

Call X hot 4 wood 17*... regular not pro

So easy to hit from anywhere including the tightest lies

I can even drop this on a tightly mown tee box and hit rockets with it. The worries of elevating it are LONG gone

I would have to agree the X Hot Pro fairway wood is very easy to hit off the deck. However I found that I didn't need the extra distance and was fine with my 2 and 3 hybrid.

New Adams Tight Lies is ridiculously easy to hit off the deck. Launches nicely.

Thought this might be mentioned. Can't wait to hit it, as I've always been an Adams fan. Did you hit the 14.5 or the 16?

I got the 16* stock stiff. It's awesome. Gets up high quick and just goes. Not too bad off the tee either.

If you want a 3 wood with high launch that you can really trust, you should look at Ping K15. Titanium face and almost impossible to hit really bad even for a high hcp like me (20 EGA).

Ping G25 3 wood or 4 wood. The shallow face helps launch /elevate the ball from the fairway. On a side note if you prefer a deep face fairway, it does have an adjustment period before you will trust the head. Especially off the tee as it needs to be tee'd much lower than a deep faced wood.

The four at 16.5 degrees, is especially useful off the deck and light rough as well as the tee. The three is longer and will run more after landing. The 4 will land softer, stop sooner and makes an ideal club for par 5 approaches and short par 4's.

If you have to have a deep face, Titleist is a great choice the 909F3 is the deep face version still with a fixed/glued hosel that can be picked up inexpensively enough to try without fear of breaking the bank for a club that may not work out.

Good luck

RBZ Stage 2 - my choice
Callaway xHot - very long
Ping G25 - point & shoot. May not have the length of the other 2, but it's super easy to hit.

I have owned a 913f, g25, rbz stage 2 , and x hot this season and the x hot wins no doubt. I have always struggled off the deck and if trumps everything else I have tried hands down.

I find the Adams A3 Insight XTD range are very easy off the deck. It's a few years old now bit I've still got the 15 degree 3 wood in the bag and love it.

No Contest. Ping K15s. Easiest to hit fairway woods in the world, especially off the deck. They just can't be pulled from my bag....

I've tried many but the k15 5w always ends up back in my bag. I picked up the 3w recently and its just as easy to hit. So now I game the 3w and swap between the k15 5w and a TEE Trilogy 7w depending on the course.

I love my stage 2. it's money from the tee and the deck. I'm wildly inconsistent hitting a 3 wood from the deck, but this was the best thing I tried and ended up walking out with it. still wish I woulda went 17* instead of 15* for that little extra bit of launch, but still very happy with it.

Stage 2 is the longest / easiest... Best of both worlds. Others mentioned k15. Kind of forgot about those, but they are right. K15 = idiot proof. Very easy to hit.

Callaway Diablo Edge/Octane Tour FWs. Cheap, shallow faced, compact heads, and long (with the right shaft). Even the infamous 3Deep and a few TEE models couldn't make me replace my DET 15*.

+1 DET with Kai'Li here and I can't find anything to kick it out of the bag...and believe me I've tried!
