I'm sure some of the newer offerings are really easy to hit, but I recently put a 906f2 into play and the turf interaction is just fantastic. Due to this, I imagine that on a budget, the 906f4 would be just about as good as you could do.

Wishon 929. Sits flat and is shallow. It's almost like cheating.

The Cally Razr fit line has been money for me. Played the Razr fit 3 & 5, and the xtreme 3 & 4. Each one of them has the same classic, small head shape with a shallow face. Settled on the 3 wood because I'm just as confident hitting it off the deck as the 4 or 5 wood models.

There's nothing in the rule book that says you can't play drunk.

910F is the best all-around 3 wood I've hit - it really shines off the deck and, trust me, I've hit them all

I've owned the 913 and 913F.d and I prefer the 910F still as I'm much more consistent with the 910. I was losing the 913s right pretty often for some reason
[/quote]

Could you elaborate a little more any the differences between the 910 fairways and the 913s. I currently play the rbz tour and am looking for a new stick. I went to the store today and fell in love with the 913fd. I was thinking, for costs sake, about the 910fd.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if it is the best, but the 913F 17* is really good off the deck for me. I switched from a TM 15* and have found that my distance is about the same. The extra little loft gives me a better launch and consistency - I like the smallish head on the 913 as well...I hit two par 5's in 2 the other day from about 235-240 which is good for me...

Revisit- how does the stage 2 tour 3w perform off the deck. Anyone compare it too the g25 3w? I'm looking for max distance off the t, but ability to play from the deck.
Thx

[sub]I game a 909F2 that has a great shallow face on it. I tried the 910 and 913, but I hate the extra hosel weight with the Sure-Fit system. I think it compromises the weight distribution of a smaller headed club. Even more so for the hybrids with this setup. I love Titleist products, but my taste is anything from the 906 or 909 category when it somes to fairway woods and hybrids. [/sub]

I have three 3 woods right now: CB4 15*, Adams XTD 3t 16*, and the infamous 2007 Burner TP 14.5. All three are arguably the best fairways made IMO but I would say the Burner TP is the easiest to hit off the deck. The CB4 is a bit longer and is second easiest.

I had my doubts about the 3 deep off the deck went from the 13 couldn't hit at all to 14.5 and wow the extra loft helps off the deck and long 245 into a 20 mile hour wind in Dallas and ended off the green but pin high 56 degree pitch to 5 feet and birdie and oh yay you can play it off the tee best of both worlds.

I don't normally carry a 15* (normally play a 16*) but last year at a demo day had a chance to hit an Adams Super S 3w. Surprisingly easy to launch from the deck.
Probably the straightest too that I hit that day.

NOT a 13.5* 910F.d with a low launch shaft... Never rises more than 20ft off the ground.

Goes like the clappers off the tee though! :superman:

So I used the slightly warmer weather this weekend, and an empty course, for some demo and comparisons. I took out three fairway woods, all of which would have a legit shot to dethrone my trusty G25 4w as my fairway wood. Took out the '07 Burner TP 14.5* (stock TP 75g R), 909f2 15.5* (stock Titleist Diamana BB R), and '07 Burner TP 17.5* (stock TP 75g R).

So I line up on an open fairway, and proceed to hit three of the best, straightest fairway wood shots I've ever hit. In an uncontrolled environment, and with a pre-season swing in effect, it turned out to be as apples to apples as possible. The ground was still a bit soggy, so we're not talking "true" conditions or roll yet, but the results were still interesting. Two of the balls ended up way down the fairway within a couple of yards, and one was about 10 yards past the other two. The longest--the 17.5* '07 Burner TP. This trend was duplicated on a couple more comparison shots, but I never duplicated the three straight bullets I hit the first time.

Not dispositive, and YMMV of course, but another argument for "lofting up" on fairway woods, at least in my case. And as a result, as of today, I am putting the '07 Burner TP 17.5* 5w into my bag. In testing, it is consistently incredible off the deck (consistent, long and straight), while still deep enough to be consistent off the tee. Always seems to get it done for me. Keeping the others, and my G25 and G20 4 woods around though.

As much as I love my RBZ Tour 3 wood off the tee, it leaves something to be desired off the deck. My trajectory from the turf is far from consistent (something that I've noticed other WRXers have had issues with) and considering I rarely hit my 3 wood from the tee (too stubborn to not hit driver...) I was looking to replace it with something that would perform much more consistently from the turf (and also probably not have a white crown...was never the biggest fan of that). Out of either this year or last year's FW options, what works best off the deck, occasionally from shorter rough? Looking for a high-ish launch, low spin option that will RARELY be used off the tee. Thanks for the help!

Titleist 910 or 913f.

I would say Ping G25, but it is more of a mid-spin club. Shots from the G25 fairway woods tend to land softly, rather than run out.

I hit the new Cobra Bio Cell fairway and was really impressed. I hit it side by side with the RBZ stage 2 and everything about the performance was better for me. Really easy to get up, and the feel and sound i thought was much better. I had much better numbers with the cobra, just a great club. I also hit it in the 14.5 setting and it will go up to 16 so it should be even easier in that setting. Go check one out.

After playing great w/ K15 fairway woods 2 or 3 years ago the ho in me said "these are old man woods, so man up & play something that you can hit 280 out of the fairway". RocketBallz were just coming out & I ditched those "beginner" woods. Since then I've played RBZ, X Hot, RBZ Stage 2, & a couple of Tour Exotics, but was always on the hunt for that perfect fairway wood. Hadn't thought of the K15's in a while when I stumbled upon a sale bin full of them at Dick's, and all of the warm fuzzy memories came flooding back. I bought a 3 & a 5 right there & have had the opportunity to hit them several times since, out on the course. I don't care how cool they are (or aren't) or what they look like because I flat out LOVE these woods. Nice & smooth, the shafts aren't as long as my driver, I get them up & they go forever, but straight... It's a beautiful thing. My testosterone levels may not spike every time I pull one out of the bag, but I'm telling you, when the outcome is this great, you really begin to not care as much. So, to answer your question, the Ping K15 is THE easiest fairway wood to hit off the deck... period.

Quoted for truth.

Even as a single digit I can't pull my K15s out of the bag. I reshafted them with Diamana S+ shafts but the heads just work wonders. They are the easiest to hit fairway woods on earth. Period.
