They change up the groove size on the method putters for staff players... Looks like he might have two different types of method grooves and maybe lofts depending on the greens. This happened with Rory early on, they can change the size of method grooves to produce diff sound, feel, and "quickness" (if thats such a thing) off the face.

A little inside but the ball Tiger plays isn't quite the Tour D. Bridgestone made that ball for Nike and allows Nike to use that name. Below you will find Tiger's ball in an Oregon article. If you look really close at the second picture, particularly the lower left of the golf ball the dimples have a unique look to them. Especially inside the dimple. And if you compare it to the Bridgestone B330-S, they have the same dimpling. All of this makes perfect sense why Tiger loved pairing up with Matt Kuchar is the President's Cup since they play the exact same ball.

LOL.. I wasn't sure if you were kidding or not. Of course they[b][i] look[/i][/b] painted, it's part of the process.. of milling the polymetal grooves at the same time as the face. I remember people were 100000% convinced they were painted and I was going to go take pictures of my Rory, but then remembered that would be like like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic

after reading some of the comments here, I now understand why some people think the Method grooves are painted. 'Cause they haven't seen a Method putter before and they think the polymer is actually debossed from the face LoL.

I've been through two Method putters. One standard retail, and another retail with rounded bumpers. I just cannot get used to the shape of the retail head. It's shaped a bit weird. I always go back to my Anser 2 which is just about an identical head shape to Tiger's method. Nike please PLEASE release tigers's and/or Rory's putters to retail.

FWIW, I have seen many OTR method putters before. I recently started gaming one. I have never seen a tour issue method putter nor was I aware of the manufacturing process.

Awesome work as usual! Thanks so much for all that you do for the WRX community.

I always love seeing Tiger's bag pics but the putter pics are really cool. It's interesting to see how beat up his gamer is and all the wear and tear on it. Just goes to show you that it is a tool and is used to get the job done!

Also, even if the polymer was milled flat with the deeper milling pattern on the one putter shown, I would think that it would still produce a "softer" feeling with the polymer directly impacting the ball on putts. At the end of day, I'm sure Nike will produce whatever its' staffers want to see or feel.
