Opposite for me, do not like the Truvis shapes or colours.
This one appeals to me, however I have not played them yet. Just bought the 3+1 deal.

I really like Truvis, but this screams cheap knock off to me. I know the TP5 is a really good ball, but this looks like a desperate move by TaylorMade. Do better, TaylorMade...

Was at the local Dick's yesterday and just for giggles picked up a dozen of the TP5Pix. Seemed more like a novelty item to me, until I played them today. Haven't played the TP5 line of balls previously so I was astounded by the way the ball reacted for me. I still don't know about the pattern on the ball and it's positive or negative effects. The TP5 played great for me. Long off the tee, plenty of short game spin, and a very good feel off my TM Itsy Bitsy putter. Could be a one day wonder so I'll finish the dozen and see if I still feel this way.

Okay, a few rounds in with the TP5 Pix now. The amusing graphics notwithstanding it is an outstanding ball. As I said previously I have no prior experience with the TP5 ball but I am now a believer. Just finished my round today with 54 holes on the original ball and it still loooks great. Some of the shine is gone but there are no scuffs or cover damage. Oh yeah, my scores for the 54 holes are 70,71, and 70. I catch some flak from my playing partners about using a "less than masculine" ball but I notice they are hitting first from the fairway almost all the time. Just sayin'.

The pattern on the ball doesn't bother me and it is easy to identify in the fairway and on the green.

Sounds like you're mainly drawn to the TP5 and not necessarily the Pix aspect. Would you say your next TP5 purchase will be Pix or white, or keep some of both?

You are correct. The Pix aspect doesn't make the ball for me, rather the performance of the TP5. So my next purchase will likely be white. Won't have any problems playing the PIX though.

It is fun to tweak my partners with my, as they put it, "less than masculine" ball!

I can see them in the air, but they're camoflauged on the ground....Both these and the Truvis.

Never used the Truvis or these . I had no opinion either way but was given one. I gotta do some more testing but I might be a fan. I like look when putting..not sure how to explain maybe cool seeing something different than white..

I bought a box of the Pix the other week for a pro-am. The sole reason I bought them is because my buddy that is a pga pro has been playing the red Truvis all year, so I figured I'd add some more flair to the group! It actually ended up being a pretty good visual comparison test throughout the round. Even though the Pix pattern is more complex and Taylormade claims to have put in extensive research in the pattern, I actually thought the Truvis pattern was more visible from a distance. Now for me, the only time I really saw the advantage to the pattern vs no pattern is to more easily identify the ball on the fairway from a distance. I could spot the Truvis pattern from further away compared to the Pix.

Thinking of grabbing some of these as Dickssportinggoods is running a 2 for $70.
    1. I currently play TP5x but have never tried the TP5. What might I see different?
    2. I putt with a line on the ball. Does the pix make line putting impossible or does the pattern make it easier?

    Thanks for any insight.

Lots out there on the web. Using a marker to make a line on a Pix Ball is simple.

    Thanks for the response.
I pulled the trigger on a couple dozen. The line is easy to see even with all the graphics.

Tp5 is very similar to Tp5x. Neither float very well.

Friend had some and had some is correct. It’s fall and our leaves are on the ground and that ball is hard to find.

Good ball though, once the wind blows those leaves about some one will enjoy it.

how is the visibility in dormant grass? Yellow or red balls work great so I’m guessing these may be good too.

I’ve been underwhelmed actually — been playing these for a couple of weeks and they’re still quite a bit harder to see compared to, say, the yellow Truvis my buddy plays

I've used this ball. Performed well and I liked being able to really see the spin around the greens. Also easy to pick out which ball is yours or not.
