Ha! I don't know if I can top that, I guess the closest I can come is I watched 2 days of the masters while at school.

A similar thing happened to me at my daughter's gymnastics meet today.....they had a couple of screens showing golf. Apparently, someone snapped a picture of me with my face in the screen.....

Serves them right for not accommodating.

At least they didn't get married Masters Sunday...

I've watched a buckeye game or two on my phone at weddings... I mean the audacity of someone to plan their wedding, in Columbus, on a Saturday in the fall... What do ya expect?

That is pretty solid, I guess that is one way to go when it comes to the, " does anyone object to...." portion of the ceremony.

I will admit i made one of the greater mistakes of my life when not double checking the calendar for our wedding. Two months out i realize it was masters sunday! no worries though as it was a small wedding and the wife let me watch it with the wedding party until it was over. on the final put the music sounded and we walked down the aisle. to top it off i walked down the aisle to the masters intro. all things considered it ended up being a positive and she earned some extra points to start our marriage.

I swear to god, if this happens at my wedding...i will find that person in the pew and join them. I cant stand weddings and this sort of thing will only get worse as time goes on anyway. I hope my future wife wants to elope or have a small ceremony, weddings are self serving.

Can't match it but I got something similar. I'm driving to a tournament and I pull into the course parking lot and look for a spot. After passing

through a few rows, I take a look to the right and see this:

My college roommate got married the Saturday of the Masters a few years ago. I had it on my phone right before me, the preacher, him, and the groomsmen walked out. Unfortunately they made me put it up before we all got to our spots.

nothing wrong with that, long as you are not at a funeral...

funny thing is i'm sure most of us who attend church on sundays get caught by the wife giving you the "I don't think so" stare because you are practicing the golf grip and semi-rotating your shoulders in your seat.

Not really golf related, but I find myself checking fantasy football scores during Sunday service quite often:). That is until I get a not so friendly elbow from my wife.

I commandeered the day room on the boat while I was working offshore to watch the masters. I was working midnight to noon, so I just stayed up each day till it was over. It was the "smoking day room", and at any given time, there might be 5 people in there smoking and just hanging out. While I was watching golf, they would come in, light up, and when they realized I was watching golf, most of them would leave quickly. I only watched the first 3 days, and had my wife record the final round at home so I could watch it uninterrupted once I was back on land.

I can name more than one guy who played golf with his groomsmen on the morning of his wedding.

Got to train the gals quickly and right out of the gate!

Marriage is a lot of give and take. Mostly give. My wife, god bless her, has learned over time. There are no invitations, no going anywhere, no friends over, nothing! Time stops for 4 days twice a year. Masters and US Open. She tells people 'the world could fall apart and he would not know it'. She may be right.
I would go visit a sick relative---- after the broadcast.lol.

I watched the Masters on my phone at 5 guys a few years ago and I had a crowd of people peeping over my shoulder the whole time.

I grew up in a family of football coaches (high level high school and some college). The rule in our family was you never get married or have any other life altering event (short of death) if you want 2/3 of the family to show up during football season. More than a few family outsiders (i.e. future spouses of family members) learned this the hard way Apparently they all thought we were joking until people didn't show up. Now that I am a high school hockey coach I have extended that rule into hockey season. So basically anything from Sept.-March is out for me. But then again I truly hate weddings.....didn't even want to go to my own. Just wanted to get married in shorts and flops on the beach somewhere with a few friends. In fact I actually bribe people. If there is someone I know that is going to invite me/us to their wedding I tell them that they get a nicer present if they don't invite me.

My sister got married last year on Dec. 21 (which was a Friday) at 5pm. Because Friday at 5pm 3 days before Christmas is convinent for ANYONE!!! I kept telling her if my wife, kids and I weren't in the wedding she would get a nicer gift. If we didn't have to show up I would pay for 1/2 her honeymoon. I was dead serious but apparently my wife was the only one who knew that.

I watched the Masters once 20k feet above Afghanistan... putting that expensive SATCOM bandwidth to good use.
