Couple new additions.

 

Traded the g410 plus head for the lst

Have it set At 8* with the the tensei pro white 70tx. Really like this set up. Lots of testing Over the winter but think this is a good set up for me.

 

Dabbled with a 16* g410 hybrid but ended up picking up a tour issue 2016 m2 3w head. Specs are 2.5* open and 14.5 degrees. Is hot melted so plays around D5 with a tensei pro white 80tx. This thing sounds like a ash Louisville slugger. So solid. Very low spin and anti left. See how the numbers are once I get on track man. Will be a long stick but hopefully an auto fairway finder

Might as well update the bag since we are all stuck inside...

same irons in the bag. Not looking at anything else. Love these. Raw Apex mb 4-PW with TIx100. Standard length and 1 flat. Loft is standard, might take the 7-PW 1 strong in loft. Tour velvet mcc+4 standard.

Next is the 3w.

been a tough spot to fill in my bag. Don’t hit it off the deck hardly ever. And off the tee I don’t use it a whole lot as the confidence with it comes and goes.

this one could be a keeper though! 2017 M1 tour issue HL head. 16.9 loft turned all the way down to 14.9. Specs were 1* open as well. So it sits about perfect when dialed down. HATE seeing the ball go left. Has a synergy prototype 80tx that is tipped an inch and plays at 42.5”.

this thing is HOT. Really like it. See if she lasts!!!

Next up is the hybrid.

same g410 19* as before but have it set to 20* and flat. With a tensei white 90tx shaft. This thing is awesome. So much better then the driving irons I used in the past. Fiddling with the loft between 19-20. Will see the which flight I prefer out on the course.

Next up is the driver.

had the g410+ and the Lst. If I was to go back I would game the plus again with the ventus black or the hzdus hulk. But, got this now and I really love everything about it.

stock head weight is 194gr. Lead tape on it to 200gr. Ventus black 7x with no tipping and plays at 45”. Not sure on Sw. Probably in the D4-D5 range. 10.5 head turned down to 9*. When fit they didn’t have this shaft but was fit into the green smoke hzdus. Was living in the 173-176 ballspeed. Should be a good stick! Really love the sound, feel and lock of this head.

Putter is next up.

had the spider x all last season. Liked it but was not a fan of how it was chipping. Saw this and love the look. Ordered it without ever seeing it in the flesh. 34.5” 2 degrees flat and has the fatter stock grip on it. Oddessey stroke lab 10s. Love the feel of my stroke with it. Feels very stable and my stroke feels very neutral with it.

wedges next:

same md4 52/56 as last year. Stock s200 shafts

had a hi toe 60 last year. This is just a new one. Had x100 tour issue in it.

future plans.

possibly new 52/56. Maybe raw rtx4

or. I will order black s400 shafts and put them in the md4 heads I have now and pick up new ones in the off season next year. Maybe sm8 if I go that route.

also would like to find a sun mountain swift x bag. Really would like a Mackenzie custom. But prob not haha.

maybe some custom headcovers later on.

hopefully this virus thing pisses off before the courses open in a month or so.

Wedge update

black onyx s400 into the 52/56

will get a matching shaft for the 60 at some point. The x100 tour issue feels good in there for now.

Driver swap... already.

had a ping g410 plus last year and hit it so well. Got caught up in the ultra low spin fad and traded it for an Lst head and then sold that set up for a sim max. 2 rounds in with the sim max and I am going back to the g410 plus but putting a ventus black 7x in it. I have pondered this combo for a while and I think it should be a good one.

Love that G410. I did the same thing, went from the Plus to the LST and probably hit the Plus better.

More updates. Swing is crap so why not try new gear?

sim max 10.5 out —- sim 9 in

stock hzdus green 6.5 70gr in this. Ballflight is more better. Sim max was light and I spun it like crazy.

hitoe 60 out —- md4 60 x grind in.

around the green the high toe was great. Any more then a knee high swing though was either fat or thin. The md4 I really like. Matches the rest of the wedges (minus the shaft, stock for now)

raw apex mb out. — double dot raw Apex pros in

tbe new ones Also have the mmt 105tx shafts in them. Left elbow is tender, and I hit balls off mats all winter. Gotta be better then the steel

oddessey stroke lab 10s out — Scotty Cameron select NP2 in

been looking for a mint condition one of these for a while. Had one when they first came out and had to get one back. Putting can’t get much worse than it is now...

Loving the raw Apex Pros. Have you tried the raw MD5's yet? They look great. I had the SL Ten S in the bag for a bit as well but they weighting felt weird to me. The head felt very heavy which I did not get along with. I put my WHP #3 back in the bag, can't beat it.

Hzdus smoke is good. No complaints. First time in a while I have kept the stock shaft in a driver. It is very stable

apex pro double dots out. Shafts just to light for me.

mp20 4-pw in. I do not like chrome irons. There is a shop in town that will strip them raw. It might Happen.

 

and Accra tour z rpg 472 m5+ in the sim. Hit it on the range and it is pretty good.

Haven’t updated this in a while. Lots of changes. 
 

Driver: Sim2 9* at 8.25* ventus black 6x 45” , tipped 1/2” , 200gr head weight 

 

Flat spotted the Sim head so got the sim2 on warranty. Really like this head. I added a new front weight to get the head weight up. It’s a bomber! Love the sound and feel. Very low spinning for me. The Ventus is probably the best driver shaft I have ever played. 
 

3 wood: Mizuno STZ 15* at 14* atmos black TS 6x 

 

The never ending 3w search, it might be over! I love this thing! So easy to hit! I before I was searching for this super low spin 3w and it never works out for me. To many hard lefts, which I think was caused by low spin. This thing is perfect. Shaft might get swapped out eventually but it seems to be working well right now. 

driving iron: srixon zx7 20* recoil F5 95gr 

 

Just got this into the bag. Best feeling utility iron out there! I have tried the u500, p790 udi , the regular p790 , Callaway UT. This thing blows them all away. Shaft is fine for now. Might upgrade later. 
 

 

irons : Taylormade p750 tour proto PX6.5, standard length and loft , 2* flat 4-PW 

 

love these, can’t see them going anywhere. Had them a while now. Just seek to check all the boxes for me right now. Only thing that could maybe kick them out would be the new T100s or the Callaway TCB’s. 
 

wedges: Cleveland rtx 4 , 50/54/58. Tour issue s400 black onyx. 50/54 are 2 flat. The 58 is 3 flat. 
 

really liking the shape of these over my old md4 wedges. The 58 at 3 flat is so good. All are mid grind. When the 58 needs to be replaced I might try the low bounce option. 
 

Putter: oddessy 7CS pro.

 

Went to a Center shaft at the end of last year. Don’t think I have had a putter that I like more. Have a back up as well. 15 years old. Works great for my stroke! Added lead tape for feel.

 

 

Ball: been using 2021 Prov1, Srixon z-star , Tp5. I Like the softer ball with more spin around the green. I feel like I also launch these lower with the driver. No loss in distance, just better feel.

Yah it is good. The back has a mirror like finish. So at address you can’t really see the junk in the trunk as it reflects off the grass. So all you see is the top line.

Swapped out the p750 heads for a set of the srixon z945’s 

 

wow I like these, so easy to hit and complete butter! 
 

Prob raw them out this winter and re build them. Threw them together quick to play out the rest of this year

End of the season I put a ADDI 7x in the 3w.

 

Boxing Day I picked up a all black vessel VLX stand bag.

 

Pulled the z945 iron heads and had them rawed. Custom ferrules and grips being installed now.

Yep, going to let them do it in their own. Last set I had I helped them along with a homemade spray. See how these develop on their own

A local guy does it out if his garage here. He stripped the heads in a bath then a light sandblast

Haven’t had it on the course yet. But seems to fit everything I need. Clubs don’t tangle (I carry 14). On my thing I can maybe see being an issue is Packing a sweater for those early morning rounds until it warms up
