Which Jones Bag to get?

It isn't terrible, but I carry 13 and it can still snag sometimes, though I did have some snag in the Hoofer Lite today, too. Did you have to go with the black Utility?

Yep. I needed something that I can walk with but has more room to carry rain/cold gear than what I have now (which is basically nothing).

Couldn’t decide so I pulled the trigger on a stone trooper and a stripeshow, hat, ball marker, etc. can’t wait! Love this sale every year.

I am liking the Stripeshow more and more... I love my Players I just received but the Stripeshow seems like a little more practical bag for laying down.

Maiden voyage of the utility stand bag today, fit well on the cart and stayed in place pretty well compared to the trusty old PING L8. Planning on walking 18 tomorrow morning to see how the straps hold up.

Utility stand bag is such a great bag... does everything well. It's great to carry also, just a little on the heavy side, but the straps are comfortable.

So i got the new players bag in heather brown and i noticed that the strap is different from the old players strap. The new one seems to be more like the original strap but smaller in width and thickness. i have the original bag with a players strap on it that i currently use and noticed right away that the strap was different. even on the website the bags show a old players bag style strap not this new strap. the new one does not have that rubber on the middle where it hangs on your shoulder.

My question is has anyone used this new strap on the players heather series bag and how is it ? if it is in between the original and the old players strap that would actually be good for feel and comfort wise i just wanted some real experience with that strap.

I just got my Heather grey Players and it has the strap with the rubber in the middle... I find it to be not very comfortable honestly. I carried it for about 6 holes before I jumped in the cart with my buddy. A little disappointed but I do love that the bag has like zero club tangle for a small bag. I am going to hold onto it as I have been thinking about going to a minimal bag and have been pushing my hoofer lite on the Clicgear... I have a Utility Stand which has straps more like the Original and those are very comfortable in comparison.

As you can see from the photos my blue strap is the old players while the brown is the new on that came on the bag

I went with the Jones Original as it has 3 way top and some larger pockets. Also thinking about a Shapland Sunday to add to my collection.

Dang... I didnt get that strap. I bet it is much more comfortable? I wonder why they wouldn't do this on the heather grey but they did on the brown?

Im not sure why there is different straps on the bags, it seems more like the original strap feel vs the players but i haven't used the bag yet to actually see how it is. the website shows the one you have and the blue one i have but i have a different one, not really sure if its hit or miss as to which strap you get or why the brown is different.

Utility Stand Bag is doing great so far. Walked twice in it, once in the rain. Held up well.

If I didn't already have the Original, I would definitely have checked out the new Players bags based solely on the new strap design

Based on reviews when I was deciding to purchase a Jones, the strap was unquestionably superior on the Original. And since these bags are single-strap, I felt that a higher quality strap would be better comfort-wise in carrying.

Quite content with my Jones Original, I've quite a few rounds under its belt now, its my main carry bag (minus wet weather tournament days)

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the models, whichever suits your preference. If you can see them in the flesh and load some clubs in, it'll give you a better idea on the comfort and differences between both, IMO

I contacted Jones about the strap and they said they would shoot me one out for my players, the updated version.... I haven't seen anything yet, but I thought it was a nice offer and I would love to use this bag as I walk more.. Overall I LOVE the players bag and am amazed at how well it holds my clubs without tangle.

Did you have a chance to compare the two straps, I went back to the updated one .

i wish the bottom buckle was a little wider so i could fit the strap from original bag in there i tried to make it work it just is a little to narrow,

I didnt yet but will Friday. They originally sent me out the same strap that came with the bag. I contacted them and they sent me out the updated strap which I put on immediately. Just holding it at home it feels 1000 times better but need to give it a walk. I will get back...

Had my players out today with the updated strap and it was WAY better than the strap with the rubber on it. The first time I had it out with the rubber strap I made it about 6 holes before I had to put it in the cart it was so uncomfortable... today I walked all 18 without issue.
