Picked up a BC+ driver and BC+ 3-4 wood today used. After a short range session, I'm loving the driver and hoping the 3-4 improves. Nearly every shot with that club was hooking. If I increase the loft from 13.5 to 15, will that open the face at address?
Unless the BC+ is a different animal, I thought that increasing the loft closes the face slightly on most woods.

Supposedly the smart pad keeps the face consistent regardless of loft but yes you'd need to drop the loft normally to open the face.

thats EXACTLY what mine was doing. My gamer is a 3446 and I pound that thing (really could just drop the driver) Hit the bio+ about 7 times and everyone of them came left (set at 14.5). I will say its one of the best looking and better sounding heads Ive used though

Trying to track down a Kiyoshi white for the driver before I sell it.

I picked up a Cell+ black and white with the stock Red Tie Reg flex and it's the best driver I've used in the last 5 years. Had 2 TM last being a R1 going up for sale as well a a Red Tie stiff flex grip still in wrapper. Along with the reg flex and the loft set at 11* i'm hit at least 10yds more carry than the R! (Rul (R) ) ever did. Anyone interested in a Red Tie stiff or a R1 pm me.

I think a lot of the pro guys will venture back over here if they forget about the looks and sit this thing. Driver is a stud.

Fairways are amazing as well. No issues with the left side with mine. Does exactly as I command it.

As much as I want to bump the loft on my BC+ driver, I'm seeing the same thing. Maybe it's because I just don't quite buy the pad 'technology', but I now have it set to 8.5* and the last round, I hit some MIGHTY fine drives with it. I had it at 10.5* before, and the lefts were there and they were prominent. I wouldn't say hooks, but more like strong draws.

Hayzoos,
I was referring to the fw hooking. The driver at 11 was hitting nothing but ropes up the right side.
A 60-something gram shaft in a fw is asking for inconsistency, IMO.
Had you normally used a shaft that light in your FW's? Might just have to do with the static weight, effect on tempo, etc.

What? No I threw in a d+ 82. Its not the shaft as the d+ 82was just behind my devotion (both in 3446).
The hook may come from the lie angle. I don't know what it is exactly but I would guess it's rather upright.

this was something I thought about as well. The 3446 are naturally flat which might be why I get along with them. Whenever I played a 910 i had it set .75 flat as well. The Bio Cell def sits off the ground like its upright. In any case my buddy bought it and his Oban Proto 85x is drying in it as well speak.

Oh, one other thing. I LOVE that they dont use plastic ferrules (thank you, thank you, thank you signed Tinkerers) but I wish they made it a bit longer. If youre using a pull theres usually a good bit of epoxy shown from the previous install.

I am working on finding a new driver for myself....I grabbed all the demo's they had today at the range and started pounding balls....A couple swings with the jetspeed and it was gone...The SLDR wasn't bad, I liked the head. But the speeder 57 shaft just wasn't doing it for me at all. Titleist 910D2 with ilima was a little better yet. But still was struggling. I have found that heavier iron shafts really help me with consistency. I am guessing the same would be true for driver but finding a heavier setup is not easy....Hit the Amp cell, probably the best. Really liked the head, but still had a hard time, nothing better then what I'm gaming....
About that time the assistant pro walks out with a bio cell+. New club that he taped up. Said that I needed a beefier club and to give this one a rip. Just grabbing it I could feel the heavier weight and or swing weight. Couple practice swings and it felt great. 10 swings later I was sold...Dispersion was amazingly good, easy for me to get in line and swing well with the more heft.....Best stock setup I have ever swung...period. It had the red tie stiff in it.

I might give a silver head one more shot but I pulled the Cell + a lot. I tried two heads and they were both fairly loud. I demoed one and it was quiet and super low spin. I like the Pro a lot and my Zl encore but was a little let down by the +. I don't know if Cobra has the best tolerance standards because the two heads I bought did not sound or feel like the head I demoed.

Had a bio+ for awhile now but haven't gamed it due to me being a dirty ho & buying every new driver I can get my hands on. Have previously used it with the stock 6Q3 aswell as a D+ 62 & 72 stiff with very good results at 11* but wanted a little more launch. Enter a Graphite Design AD MT 7s used for the very first time today & I couldn't be happier! It was tough off the tee today due to plenty of wind, into, down & across but this combo performed hole after hole with sensational results. I got the launch & extra carry I was looking for & still got plenty of release when it hit the ground. (Passive brag alert) highlight was having to chip backwards towards a middle pin that was on a 297m par 4 uphill but down breeze a little & yes, I made a 3 haha.
I'm lucky enough to also have the Bio 460 & Bio Pro & for mine the Bio+ is the standout, although the other two are also very very good drivers.
Just wanted to give the AD MT shaft a rap too. Yes they are pricy but if you can get your hands on one I highly recommend it. The mid/high launch & mid spin compliment this head incredibly well.

I hit the bio cell + today. I hit it with the red tie shaft in stiff flex. Right now My gamer is a 913d3 with the stiff dinama D+ stiff flex in a 9.5* cranked to 10.5*.. I really like the 440cc drivers. The bio cell+ looks bigger then 440cc at address (probably the orange and white paint scheme). I am pretty long (300+) with a SS 116-118 mph and pretty smooth. I hit the bio cell + today indoors but they where flying off the face! This is a really solid driver. I needed a little more loft though as I was hitting them on frozen ropes out to the end of the dome! I found the driver really loud though. To the point where it actually hurt my ears.

I really liked the feel of the red tie shaft though. I have hit the black tie before and found it to lack feel and felt really boardy. Not the red tie it felt great (might actually look for one for my 913)

This is a solid driver, I would put it right there with my 913d3 and the SLDR 430 which I really liked as well!!
I agree that the Bio Cell + is a terrific driver but I seem to get better more consistant performance in all areas from the Amp Cell Pro stock stiff from last years lineup,FWIW.

Love my BC+! Have had it for around a month now with the stock Red Tie shaft. Have done a bit of playing around with the loft settings, 10.5 seems to be best though I was hitting some really long ones on the range with it set to the max of 11 as well. Saturday I was playing on a local course that has a short par 4, the tees were up a ways so it was playing around 265 and we had 20-25 MPH winds all day (remnants of Arthur). Hit a nice little draw into the cross wind and ended up on the fringe about 10' short of the green!

What's the general consensus?
Can you go with any shaft that has worked well for you before in other heads in the Bio Cell +, or is it a fickle thing like the SLDR, in which one might need something completely different?
It's fickle, but I wouldn't say as much as the SLDR. Most guys on this board have been so accustomed to using low/low shafts because that's what we (thought we) needed with the normal heads. I think more guys are starting to see better results with mid/mid shafts in these newer, lower spinning heads.

What he said. I also think that this driver, along with the BC Pro, are pretty well paired with the stock offerings, the Matrix 6Q3 and Diamana D+. Give those a chance before jumping to an aftermarket shaft.

Fubuki Alpha, original Blueboard, Voodoo VS and GD AD-DI have worked well for me in the past. I would not want to try something completely new. My experience with all Matrix shafts I have tried so far was that I was always smack in the middle between R and S, so I am hesitant about the stock shaft. It was this way again with the stock shaft, when I demoed the Bio Cell+. No chance of a real fitting for this head where I live.

I see a gap. There definitely is a gap.

I have the BC+ with a Tour AD BB that has a Bio Cell tip on it. I put it on the 11.5* setting so that it would play 10.5* in the BC+. I have a lot of trouble with driver shots leaking to the right. Could it be the adapter?
