So, if he (supposedly) already plays the 2.0, just a different color way, then why would he be testing it?

 

Rory, Tiger and most Nike staffers play the original 1.0 covert (performance) fairway metals. Tiger immediately put both original Covert fairway metals at the start of the 2013 season and dominated with them, he hasn't switched and probably won't be switching for a LONG time (like he did with the SQ2). Same with Rory. He said he grabbed the 1.0 performance fairway and fell in love and when asked why he didn't switch to the 2.0 fairways like he did the driver he explained that fairway metals are "just personal clubs" and once you find a specific club you like "that most guys have in the bag for up to 6-7 years"

 

Sadly, I think Rory (like the rest of Nike staffers) is pressured a lot more than Tiger to update his equipment instead of being left alone to switch when he actually finds something he likes better.

I think you're right. It looked like something different but looking at this pic and again at Rory it looks like it's the standard stripe polo. Thanks!

 

Oh and I don't think it matters how much Rory/Tiger/any Nike staffer is "pressured" to play the newer equipment. They're not going to put a club in play that effects their performance and livelihood unless it is an improvement on what their using before it. The CP 1.0 tour issue fairway is not the same club as the CP 2.0 retail model. The 2.0 was built based on it but there are definitely differences.

Adding the swoosh on the front changes the entire shirt.

A plain Nike shirt is great, but that little addition makes it so much better.

Pricey indeed, I think of it as this. You pay $1,500 or more for like a tour Scotty putter. This time your $1,500 will get you 8 instead of one item.

The question is, what custom options would be the most desirable? Stock L/L/L of course, but for the shaft? S300, Tour Issue X100, PX 6.5, or C-Taper stiff? I'd think NDMC would be most popular.
