I was fit for the 15* 3 wood (maybe I should of got) , but I thought I'd try the HL because I always like 4 woods. All I was getting was moon balls that didn't go anywhere down or in to the wind! Maybe it's the shaft? All I know is this is not what I was seeing in the fitting. My 915 felt hotter, looked smaller, I could flight it up or down. My 915 was definitely longer !

I mean the 16.5 will go a bit higher, but moon balls, could be shaft related too

 

It probably wasn't a good idea going from a 80 gram stiff to a 70 gram Regular!

Going to talk to Shakey tomorrow and see what we can do.

Only hit about 5 balls with each club, it's was raining and 50* yesterday afternoon. Should get 18 in today.

Let me know how the shaft change in he 3w works out. I got the 15 with S+ but the store only had stiff and i usually play a x. The club looks and feels great and is a straight shooter. I might have gotten used to my m2 with rogue silver though because this goes higher and shorter even though the m2 is a 3HL. I am thinking a lower launch x is what i need.

Man that's rough. My all Nike bag will be out on the course hopefully on Sunday. I'll see if I have the same issues on the course as I did at the range

The 3HL is definitely out! The 15* with the blue board still goes too high. The KK in the 15* was better but still not as long as the 915. Maybe it's the Tour Platinum? I didn't try it with my go to ball Pro V1X. Maybe I'll give the Tour Black a try tomorrow.

Got my second round in with the 105's and Fly Pro's.

The 105's are, I really don't know?! They don't really feel lighter then the 120's! I don't feel the kick like you do with the 120's. They feel different, but not bad different.

The VFP's feel a lot better then the VPC's IMO, but then I thought the VPC were the worse feeling Nike forged iron, and I've played all Nike forged irons! Forgiveness is great.

I here you beating the dead horse! It's tuff living up here and hearing about all you Word not allowed that live down south playing year round on great courses. :)

I get the itch so bad to play and test clubs. This was supposed to be my first real fitting (besides the Oven) with a open mind and endless choices. I didn't trust or believe in my fitter. Really one driver head and 3 shafts! Now I'm broke and in worse shape then I started.

Pure don't think I'm yelling at you! Because I'm not I respect all your comments and playing ability. I'm just so F'n frustrated!

Night and day deference in shafts. The KK is straighter, lower, and longer. Still shorter then the 915.

I have my new VFP's on BST. I ordered a new set from shakey with PX LZ , -1/2, & D4 SW. Hopefully they'll hold me over until the new line of irons come out?

Forgive me if it was mentioned before, but have you tried Callaway XR or the old red Nike Covert Performance FWYs? Like you, the fwy wood is one club (besides putter) that gets easily rotated out for bad behavior. I had a good long run the last 2 years or so with both of these before getting inspired by Nike Flex (black) 3 wood this season... Somehow that one started working for me after a few shaft changes, completely out of the blue.

Yes, the XR has Project X LZ. I found it very easy to elevate, and very solid from the tee as well. I have a Vapor Speed (last version) with a Fuji Pro 73 that occasionally sees time, but the Vapor Flex from last year has a Diamana S+ 70. Nice high flight from fairway lies and very consistent from the tee as well. The only knock if I am being picky would be that for some reason it seems you need a picture perfect lie in the rough to even consider using it. The course I typically play does not let the rough get too deep either.
