There are a few things I wish we're made lefty, but mostly it's wedges, putters or finish options.

At least our used clubs are cheap so trying them isn't the end of the world.

Good topic, if you want to demo clubs at most stores you are screwed unless its off of a fitting cart. Let's look at the models new in 2014 not available in left hand. From Mizuno you cant get the JPX 825 Pro, and the JPX EZ Forged. From Nike the VRS Covert forged are also not available in left hand. Thank god Callaway released the Apex line left hand

So much more equipment now than 25 years ago. Finding demos requires a lot of work but has likely saved me a lot of $ over the years. Brand loyalty isn't a big deal (4 different brands in my bag). There will always be something that would be great to try but I can live with what I've got, lol.

I'm mainly frustrated with mizuno and fourteen for not offering there blades in lefty. I'm sure many lefties would love I enjoy the buttery feel of a mizuno blade but we will never know. And for fourteen not to is absolutely absurd, if your going to pay $1400 for 4-PW why in the heckkk can't they make them left handed?!?!?!

I'm a lefty and i don't notice any issues finding clubs. I do get annoyed that I can't play something like MP-64's and such but I can live without given the other great offerings companies release.

I myself have had great luck buying left handed options. Actually I just bought two Vokeys in the exact specs I wanted for $65 a piece and and they were brand new SM4's. Also picked up a Cleveland 3 wood on Friday with the original tag at 199.99, not at the tent sale though. Picked it up with head cover for $60. It doesn't bother me to play last year's model. Or even the year before for that matter.

Good point. The lefty demo situation is still suck after all these years.

And yet, the premier shaft fitting system, Mizuno's Optimizer, has a left hand setting.

Oh Mizuno - how could you offer something that no other company offers and also make it available to lefties......

My pet peeve is to walk into a place and they'll have, literally, 10 pieces of right handed stock in every conceivable iteration and MAYBE one left handed offering in a set up no one wants.
I won't even buy tees at these.
I have to support the golf store that at least makes an attempt at having left handed stock. Oh wait their aren't any.
Has anyone mentioned the lack of left handed demo stuff?

There is a bonus to being a lefty, we don't have to worry about lefty fakes on ebay, no money in it. As for putters, I've decided custom is the way to go. They take care of us lefties. Love my lajosi, and picked up a Scotty fastback which is finally available left handed.

LOL. I never even thought about fakes.

I do have a Sweet left handed Turner T7 Hybrid LOL. It might be built by Baylormade

I used to call Callaway to verify serial numbers on lefty eBay and one time I mentioned no one wanting to counterfeit left handed clubs, she laughed. I will say it is frustrating about selection, sales people who don't know what clubs are actually available. I can remember getting told that I could not get as much for my trade because they were left handed clubs (which I would follow up with I guess you discount new left handed clubs too right?). Callaway and PING definitely have good selection, just a matter of finding a place to test them out. I have a local independent golf store that carries a decent selection, but they do have a good number of demos and that is why I bought a couple sets from them.

You should look at JDM gear. They make very little left handed equipment, since they consider being left handed an affliction. compared to JDM, the U.S. market is pretty extensive for lefties. Lack of demo gear has cost me a lot of money over the years due to buying stuff, only to turn around and sell it on eBay for a big loss when it is a few months old.

The bigger issue is that, generally the options that are available for left handed players are game improvement shovels. Players clubs, on the other hand, are very limited depending on the company.

Mizuno is one example of a bigger company that is infamously unfriendly to better left handed players. The MP68s are the last LH blades they made and that was years ago. Awesome clubs but it's disappointing that that's it.

Now I generally only support LH friendly brands like Callaway and Titleist for my future club purchases.

As a lefty, I get it. But as a business person, I also get it. With only about 10% of players on average being left handed, it just doesn't make sense financially for businesses to invest in casting patterns or dies for forgings when the pay off period will outlast the life cycle of the product. This is why small companies or niche products just don't get lefty options. It's purely business... Nothing personal.

Thats hilarious "some" lefties want to be equipment hos? Im prob the worst of all of all of you as evidenced by my posts over the years in BST haha i agree with all of you demos are impossible to find for example the new X forged demos available but not in LH. Most manufacturers like Titleist, Callaway Ping and Srixon have bascially all models in LH and RH. When I first started playing 28 years ago played only OEMs that had a good selection. The only one anymore that really disappoints me is Mizuno. MP offering always been sparse. I mean WHY would you not offer the MP18 MMC and Flihi in LH thats idiotic. Yet offer the SC which is prob golfers least favorite model. I used to play Mizuno for 10-15 years but rarely do anymore unless I can find that "needle in a haystack" like recent new set of MP 53s. Also I will tend to keep extra sets of irons that I know are hard to find like my Miura Y grind CBs.

If youre a low handi lefty even tougher to find models.

It use to be impossible to find clubs - you just ordered a set, forget about hitting them first. It's so much better now. However, being a better player with tastes for more of the unique equipment, it sucks. Wedges and putters mostly as was said before. Players irons are totally hit or miss as to whether they are available in lefty. I want a set of fourteen wedges with that blue flamed finish.. why can't I just have them? GIVE THEM TO ME! If you find a wedge you like you are stuck typically with stock grinds and whatever finish they decide you should have.

Flipping the pattern of a cast club can't be a prohibitive cost - and even if that is the argument, it doesn't change that I am only offered one finish type in any of the major brands. I would even settle for having them be available special order so they don't have a bunch of "specialty equipment" stocked around the retail outlets.

Most of the manufacturers offer iron sets in both RH/LH. Mizuno is a hold out, only offering their mainstream GI/SGI irons for lefties and select wedge lofts and bounce. We do miss out on all the special edition wedges and drivers. Alot of JDM is right hand only as well. I'm pretty happy with the selection and understand the business case. 12% of the market is lefty, 10% of market play blades, business wise it's hard to justify developing a set of blades for lefties when the overall market is so small.
