Just picked up a raw version of the Tad Moore Pro 1 TS. Really love the raw putter to go with my irons and wedges. The fact that it was allegedly designed for Tiger with hopes of Nike picking up the design are just a bonus. I have always liked a slightly lighter putter head and this one is about 330 grams. Now just trying to figure out if I want to go with a black steel shaft or pick up a nice graphite one.

First putter I have seen with Abalone and Mother of Pearl inlays. Australia is a great source for those shells.

Very cool. I've been watching those for months. Interested to hear what you end up doing with it.

 

Will keep you posted. I was watching it for a few weeks and doing research on the face milling. Once I realized the head weight was about as good a match I would find to my old putter while being raw carbon, I jumped on it. I may throw a spare rifle shaft in it for now and see how the balance feels. I think that will determine on whether I pick up a vibrant matte black shaft or pick up a lighter graphite one.

From an aesthetic standpoint, the oil makes the head somewhat shiny, and makes the color swirls stand out more, which I like. From a practical standpoint, it keeps the head from further rusting. I plan to use the putter, so I will wipe it down with an oil cloth after every use, and coat the inside of the headcover with a little oil as well. You don't need anything special- I simply bought a small microfiber hand towel from Target, and saturated the towel with baby oil.
