Wow! That is a sexy wedge. Not sure if it's just around me, but not a lot of the big stores carry much nike equipment at all. I can never demo nike, so I've never purchased anything nike -- except apparel.

I just graduated and yeah it sucks leaving. When did you graduate? And unfortunately I hardly played during college except my signature first date which was taking girls to the driving range so not sure. Right before I graduated it hit me that I hadn't played on any of the good courses in the area. Some day...

1999 (5 yr plan). I played Glen Annie a few times, Ranch San Marcos 4 or 5 times, and Sandpiper once. "Local" rates made it work or I wouldn't do it.

I would take a picture of the shoes that I bought with the clubs, but most would mock them. (Sketchers... they held up though!)

I've looked for a descent set of these for a long time ... I realize they're nothing special. I picked them up for $110 from Play-it-Again sports of all places. Not the best deal, but the grooves are in incredible shape as are the shafts. The 8 iron looks like someone took a swing from a cart path but a little work with a metal file and a few range balls on a sandy range fixed that and blended in the filing. 2-SW.

That looks like a pretty clean set. How were the grips? Did the shafts still have labels?

Grips are good ... Golf pride tour wraps ... Not my favorite ... I'll probably pull an replace with some Ping ID-8 ... I like them, they're cheap and keep with the Ping theme. Previous owner put some type of clear tape over the shaft bands ... zz-lites. I had some good luck pulling it off the wedge and leaving the band in tack underneath ... Under the tape the bands are In pretty descent shape.

It sounds like you got a great deal on a very clean set. Like I said, Eye2s here at Play It Again go for $150 and up.

I replaced the grips on my S59s with the Ping ID-8s after I bought the set last July. I like the grips.

That was a pretty good deal too.. $65.00 for a clean set of 5-PW, after a 20% holiday discount at Roger Dunn's. They did need re-gripping, which added $50.00 and I had to send the 8 iron back to Ping after I noticed a slight dent in the shaft (They only charged me about $20.00 or so). Still I think I did good and I love the clubs.

Ok so if it wasn't already official it is now, I'm a serious ho'er of golf and golf related paraphernalia. In the last month I've bought a Titleist staff stand bag, Nike lunars, Scratch sb-1's 4-pw, 712U 2 and 3 iron, tour AD BB 8X, 2 dozen pro v's, 4 Titleist players gloves, new knit headcovers, and a 50 and 56 Vokey TVD (blk ion)

I wasn't even aware that I bought that much crap. Ive always bought a fairly large amount of golf stuff but this is getting out of control. Golfwrx has turned me into an uber club ho. Lol. The good news is that I have no immediate plans to try and curb my ho'ing ways!!!

As soon as I get my Scratch irons back from reshafting and my new TVD's in the mail I'm gonna put together a what's in the bag. There are some great looking setups in the Witb section right now.

Trying my hand at regripping, and testing different grips on thrift shop clubs! Also picked up a hobby vise that I am going to test out. Grips are golf pride CP2 wrap jumbo, cp2 pro mid, tour velvet mid, tour wrap 2g jumbo, winn excel oversize, and winn dri ta cover size. Clubs are cobra 427 ss driver, mizuno t zoid titanium 5 wood, nickent 3dx 3h, tour edge h5p 3 wood, lady cobra offset driver, and cobra offset ss 9 wood.

Needed something to fill the 3 hybrid - 4 iron gap. Haven't decided on the wedge set up yet. Currently going with 4.
