Scratchswinger... do you remember saying this? LOL

I'm excited to give these shafts a go. The shaft alone might be worth buying the 915, in addition to all the other benefits. I wonder if this watered down (but still top shelf) Rogue will be as good as advertised
Per one of the members posting's above, isnt the lets call it NON Tour Rogue( I am NO WAY making any sort of assessment of this version) not really the same weave construction as the Tour Rogue $900 one? There could be very little discernible difference between the two, however we could be talking 1 series BMW vs an M3 and its not close.

Someone is going to have to hit the two and tell us if they are close before we can say "we have the rogue"

I agree. It could be the same design with lesser materials or it could be a totally different shaft with similar graphics. Shaft and component manufacturers are known for putting out products golfers need under the impression t is what they want. EX: heads that say 9 =10.5 or shafts that say S=R+

I think we might be talking a M235i vs an M3, but yes that is what we are talking here. It is the Rogue 95 MSI not the 125 MSI.

I'd still say his comment was correct. The shaft that supposedly is coming in the 915 is not the Rogue we all know, even though it may share the same name. Will it be awesome? Probably, actually, highly probably. Will it be the same? No.

I'd kind of compare it to the Recoil Prototypes and the stock offerings. Are the Recoil stock offerings solid? You bet they are. Are they the same as the Recoil Prototypes? No, no they're not.

Per what I have learned on WRX - I need the 125 MSI or ill spin and launch it too high, the 95 MSI cannot handle my 7 or 8 index game - insert a great deal of sarcasm

New article today with more details about the 915 line...

"The key takeaway from a design perspective is that Active Response Channel lowers spin while still allowing Titleist to actually increase MOI."

"In terms of MOI/Forgivness, the D2 will be in the ballpark of PING’s G25/G30. The D3 will offer among the highest, if not the highest MOI of any sub-460cc driver on the market. Whether or not it carries over into the marketing remains to be seen, but what we’re talking about are a pair of exceptionally forgiving designs from a company that’s not generally (and probably unfairly so) associated with forgiveness in the driver category. Apparently some inside of Titleist believe that the additional MOI is substantial enough to entice some D2 players into a new D3 setup."

"Our source tells us that the driver is particularly hot on high, slightly toe-biased strikes."

"While I’m sure Titleist won’t phrase it this way, think SLDR spin reduction with G25 forgiveness."

"Unlike previous years where Titleist has launched drivers in the fall and fairways/hybrids in the following spring, the entire lineup will hit store shelves this November."

This will have to be hit to be believed. G25 is very forgiving...a far cry from where Titleist has been ever. To reduce spin to the SLDR level and still have that level of forgiveness will be a feat worth testing, if true. If the spin is that low, I would expect the lofts to be higher to accommodate it. Surefit won't go high enough for most then.

The rep told me the other night the center of the clubface will be the worst place to hit the ball as far as ball speeds go, besides obvious terrible misses way out on the club. I dont know what truth there is to that, just what came out of his mouth.

Also said they have been playing with the active recoil channel for 5 years now. Waiting to perfect it before letting it hit the market. he said that Titlesit agreed that TM and Adams had something with the slot technology that was worth putting R&D into. They just wanted it to surpass all the other MFG before letting it out.

Always like the way Titleist keeps the designs traditional looking while still including technology. No sliding weights, no odd color combinations, no fins. No bizarre smashed elongated looking crowns. Still the best hosel adjustment on the market. Lately have been offering some good shafts instead of the old made for, designed for, or company shaft. Always like their stuff because of these reasons. The only complaint is constant weight configuration change...not that they are that costly.. And their insistence on offering them for retail in November and February. Can't believe they aren't missing sales by not moving to August.. Ping obviously learned October wasn't gaining any pre winter sales...
