Actually got this not too long after Glover won his major. A buddy of mine from over seas got it for me...as well as an orange one I gave to my old Nike rep.

He also got me this....

Rory's driver he used at the Ryder Cup was pulled from a box full of stock product. There is no such this as "Tour Issue". No pixie dust. No special testing. What you buy at retail is what professionals are using on tour.[/quote]

But I'm super excited about the irons in 2 weeks. The PC's and blades are .25" over Titleist standard. I play .25" to .5" over so this is my wheelhouse. I can play the clubs right off the rack.

NIke measures differently, obviously. I think they continue down on the shaft? Their 35.25 probably the same as Titleist 35"

My Taylormade irons are the same specs as MMProto's now and they are even when put side by side.

I just started playing golf this year and I plan to get rid of my adams tight lies starter set. I have been checking everyday for updates on the vapor line cause I really hoped they play as well as they look. I already have so much gym gear that Nike volt and cant wait to add more.

Because historically they measure the same as Titleist.

See last years chart below, the 7 iron was historically 37.00" with Titleist and Nike. But this year it's 37.25" for the Nike 7 iron.

Additionally the irons were D2 but now the Vapor MB swing weight is D3.5 which would correspond to a .25" length increase (1.5 swingweights per quarter inch)

I don't know the exact details on how the measure, when I placed my order on Vapor Pro Combo I did ask why the 5 iron is .25 longer than "standard".

The employee talked to said they measure from "grip all the way down the shaft". I too had no clue what he meant, I am assuming they measure past the ferrule was my assumption.

I think shakey can elaborate on it more, as he has had more experience with custom orders, etc..

Yeah I'd like to know how long they will be - because irons are measured from the sole of the head to the butt of the grip. The whole enchilada from the playing position.

(with a few exceptions like mizuno who measure grip off).

If they are able to get a measurement of 37.25" on the 7 iron, I can't imagine where the extra 1/4" is coming from.

Stock Titleist 7 irons are 37.00" from the butt of the rubber grip to the sole of the head.

Going home with a driver and irons. Fairway woods/hybrids will be built and shipped to us in the near future.

I believe its right about it being the same as titleist even though the length is listed different

They measure to the TOP (not the highest point or bulge - the transition - easy to show hard to communicate) of the grip not the mark at the top of the grip hence the 1/4" addition in length over last year even though they are the exact same length.
