wow king i hit my 745 a lot lower than my ap2"s never heard the srixon launching higher especially with c-tapers, are they the regular c-tapers or the lites.

Regular. These are 545 though. Maybe I forgot to say that. Probably should have gotten the 745.

Give them some more time. First couple on the first range were moon balls. I moved it back in my stance and started launching more normal. The 5s are so easy to hit that any help you provide is gonna throw them up.

I agree a custom build is the way to go and makes those irons a little more special to you than any set you buy or trade on the BST or ebay

Got my first round in today with the z7's back to their standard lies (I bought them 2* up) and boy oh boy did that make all the difference with the 4 and 5 irons.
Those two had been slower to come around, but today I hit two good 2nd shot layups on par 5s with the 4I and I went two for two on GIRs with the 5I.

Time to book around for tomorrow and continue getting to know these clubs

I am not sure. I might just leave the KBS shaft for now. I rotate this iron with a 22* hybrid. The KBS gets the ball up and the one to two shots per round that I use it, I am not so worried.

Oh no TM the 4 iron is gotta match just buy a shaft and send it to russ while he has your clubs buddy.My OCD will not let me do this the 4 iron wouldnt be allowed in the bag :crazy:

Just get back from playing after taking two weeks off. I missed my 745's. But to be fair, the course was so wet, nothing would have been good for me today.

Let me tell you about this character named Russ757. I get a text from him this morning saying he made a mistake on the irons I were to put in my clubs. He has two sets. One in his precious 545's with matching ferrules and grips. The other was what he was selling to me that were soft stepped. I told him that was OK. I would Play the stiffs. But Russ would have nothing of the sort. He is pulling the shafts from his precious 545's to install in mine. He will have to pull his metro sexual gray grips and ferrules to do all of this but that didn't matter. Then on top of all this, he found a matching iron.

That's a good Wrxer and guy right there.

Something got lost here. The soft stepped were in his 545's instead of the pulls. The extra set was stiff. Russ is pulling his shafts from his 545's that are the soft stepped because that was what we agreed to.

For some reason I forgot to clarify exactly what happened. I thought I typed all that but I must have had a brain fart. Old age is getting the best of me.

You know fuji, after you reminded me that the Super Peening Blue shaft has the blue lettering, I keep thinking I should have gone with the blue grips and ferrules. Plus the blue would have gone good with my blue Mizuno woods. I will get you for that. Lol

I just won a Srixon zU45 23 degree on eBay for $80 brand new in the plastic! That's gotta be a steal. I'll turn it down to 22 and hit the crap out of it!

Haha! I was just curious what I could get it for on ebay. I love my Apex UT's. I saw it on there for $80 and thought that was an absolute no brainer!

^I was fortunate to get my barely used set off eBay from some proshop where they were played for a couple rounds and that was it.
Around me, some Golfsmiths/GolfMart are starting to get a set or demos in, but they are certainly still under the radar.

If you read back a few pages you will see rakuten.com has them on for very appealing prices, but I have no idea how shipping/duty/taxes may be factored into that.

And yes I did blind buy mine, but I know the style of heads I like, after after gleening as much info as I could from the interwebs, I got a set, and I am very happy I took the punt on them
