I'm glad you asked. The reason I wrote 4-pw +gw is because I have one of the few Z 745 Gap wedges that can only be purchased from a dealer in Japan. Now if I had an ordinary gap wedge that you could go to your local golf store or EBay to buy, then I would have written it 4-gw. I figured a gap wedge of this magnitude should be separated. Lol

Just an update on availability from Srixon, I placed an order for Z745 on 1/18/15 and while checking on the status was informed that they are back ordered and my custom set will ship mid March. I was told that there was so much demand for the irons they couldn't keep up. Good for them, bad for me I leave in two weeks for a Florida vacation. Its been below freezing all year and I'm growing tired of the snow.

So...the Cleveland/Srixon rep was at the shop today. I hit every club of the Srixon line (hadn't done that yet) and man...they have some winners. I was most impressed with the feel of the 745 driver and the feel of the U45. I'll be ordering the U45 no doubt. May get one for the 3 and 4 iron. Amazing clubs for sure.

I understand the differences between the U45 verses a hybrid. But, which would you think would be better from the fairway? I need a 205-215 club nd have been using a 5 wood. But the U45 looks great. I am not worried about hitting off the deck, but would like an easy club from the fairway. Any thoughts???

I am probably not the right guy to compare to hybrids as I really never got along well with many. My iron game is the best part of what game I do have and I have been playing diff. utility irons over the years (pretty much everything that has been made since the old Nike forged pro combo) and these are as good as it gets for me. Everyone is diff. though so give them a demo.

Love the new Srixon line, but that's a boldfaced lie. The delay is due to the dock workers "slow down" in CA and Srixon is scrambling to find other ways to receive the heads to be assembled.

Spoke to them yesterday as well and got the same answer initially. But when pressed, he flat out said its due to the port situation. Got the same answer from a PGATSS rep.

On a serious note....Golf galaxy in Pittsburgh has a couple sets of these in stock, 3 thru pw...They have had them for a couple months. They will not sell the 4 thru pw. They say you must order a set.....The 3 iron has no serial #......Why couldn't they sell the 4 thru pw, order another set 4 thru pw, and combine them with the original three iron......Anyone who works for GG or other retailer explain this.....Must be inventory control or some other silly thing.

I am guessing they are in the system under one sku number. If they sell them without the 3 iron at a lower cost, it would either look like they sold that sku at a loss effecting the profit margin or they would have two delete that sku and create a new one which could make someone think they lost or someone stole that sku.

All this could be corrected with a little work on their part. They would have to contact the corporate office to have all this done. This is something I am sure an employee could care less to do.

Buy the 3 iron and sell it to me. Problem solved

I hit it off the deck in some thicker grass and it came out hot. Off the deck is no issue. Seems like a 545 just filled out more for a little more power to get it up. Great club. Strongly recommend. I'll be getting one for sure to go between my 20* hybrid (my hybrid is LONG) and my 4 iron. Now I just need to test the 545 vs the AP2 to see who stays and who goes. Gonna be hard for them to beat out the AP2 but they have a chance.
