For me, the biggest difference is the way they handle the turf. Plus, keep in mind I am playing KBS tour shafts. No other set that I have has these so I really am not comparing apples to apples. I am pleasantly surprised how easy they are to hit. It's the flight off the ball that really shines. They explode off the face and and stays on line for the most part. I don't know if this is a byproduct of the shaft or the head. But so far it is producing so why question.

I wanted to comment on what MBBG said about the grips. He was absolutely right. I changed out the grips and can tell a big difference. Plus, to be fair, when I first got them the weather was between 35 - 40* so that had some to do with it as well. Good call MBBG

I trying to decide between a set of Nike vapor pro combos or a set of z745, i tested both sets this weekend and had very similar results with both sets, has anyone else tested these 2 sets against each other.

Nike lauched a little higher but the shafts where not the same, has anyone tested the z745 with the nippon 980GH DST shaft.

I got 745 with nippon modus 120x they launch a little lower but flight and spin are perfect compared to dg the nippons feel very good both are nice quality irons i think it will come down to personal preference i dont think u can go wrong with either set

I'm getting on the band wagon - my pro at gt has been talking them up finally saw them today and its the first iron I can sole without manipulation that sit square for me - going to order a set up with kbs tour stiff plus 1/2 inch and 2 up!!!!!

That is what I have except standard length. So far its been a great combo. A Wrxer on here (Cadman88) should be receiving my 7 iron shortly. He is trying to decide if these are worth the upgrade over is precious Adams forged. It will interesting to see how they perform. I will definately report back what his thoughts are.

Sofla posted he was selling his combo set to get a set of all 545's. I noticed he had the gap wedge adn reached out to him to see if he would sell it only. I am grateful to him for selling me his gap wedge because I am like you, not quite sure how to buy off Rakuten. Do they take Paypal?? I would like to get the sand wedge so if you do buy, maybe we can combine our order to save some shipping??

I received the 7 iron z745 with KBS Tour from TMelectric today, and with winter upon us here in Upstate NY (Buffalo area) I will find a sim to test out the 7 iron versus my Adams XTD Forged with Recoil Prototype 95 F5. My first impression of the z745 right out of the box was how small the head looked to me, until I pulled out my XTD Forged 7 iron.. they are almost the same size. I hope to hit these back to back this weekend and I will report back.

I am not sure of the swing weight but I can tell you they are heavier than my S55's. Lighter than the 850 forged I had for a short time. I always thought they were like my Ap2's. But all had different shafts.

the kbs shafts are counterbalanced probably why they feel different im guessing they are around d0-1 i measured mine with the nippons they are 4-7 d3 and 8-gw d4 but i also ordered mine 1/4 over standardd length

Fuji and Russ......you boys weren't lying. I finally hit my 745/545 combo today. Absolutely great irons. I was "scared" of the sole widths but quickly moved past that. I couldn't get over the high flight of the long irons (4-6 in 545s). A club longer than I'm used to. I know it's because of the stronger lofts, but the flight was still high and piercing. I bought these without hitting them while I await my J15 CBs...just phenomenal. Sound and feel was as you expect for a forged iron. I'm not sure if I beling in the 745 thread or the 545 thread. Now if I could just get the satin treatment from Russ.......thanks for the recommendations guys. Will probably still game the J15s, but that might be in jeopardy now. Lol
