Yeah the first thing i checked was the lie and they are spot on. I even jumped on a lie board and did face impact tape. Going to try and figure it out with another practice session and round then i'll make my decision. Maybe they just aren't for me.

I had that same problem with the AP2's going left. I think you said it in my thread that they weren't going to last Sure enough.. back to Nike.

As good as the 745s look - I have been watching your thread waiting for the switch back to the TPs. There is a fine line with LEFT...

Left stays in your head - which is not what you want in your head for tournament play with irons.

Your right there is a very fine line with left and I don't like flirting with that line. TP's are sitting shaftless just begging to be put back in play but to be honest not sure they will make it. Although I played well with them there were things I didn't like. The "slotted" irons didn't feel great and to be honest I didn't feel a lick of difference in performance compared to the non slotted ones. One thing that the 745's have in spades is feel.

Yeah left is no bueno and the Nike's were calling I really like the direction that Nike is going with woods and irons/wedges. Putters are lets just say not there yet

Irons that peak my interest are the 716 AP2'S and the new soon to be released Apex Pro's. Also the Cobra irons look legit. Kinda wish they weren't black though as i can't stand the way they look after a month or so.

I don't mind the RSI TP irons even though I'm not a slot fan. I have a hard time believing the AP2 716's won't spin too much or go left... Finding irons in the category you and I are looking for is difficult as the fine line of left and spin is ever present.

716CB is the first iteration that actually look like they might be different from the previous version. How's your distance control with the Srix's?

I'll have to make sure I give the CB's a whirl. I honestly forget there in the line because my brain jumps from the MB to ap2. As for distance control with the 745's it's actually excellent in fact it's my favorite thing about them. I seem to be pin high a lot even some guys i played with mentioned it. They were D1 players and they never like getting thumped by an old man in his early 30's, i'm ancient to them

Update:

Srixon's are in the bag and i'm really enjoying them. I'm in a 3 day Ryder Cup tourney right now and they are really performing under the gun. Yesterday was a 2 man better ball match and we were -7 through 15 and closed them out. Today was true alternate shot and they performed really well getting another point for our team. Tomorrow is head to head match play and i'm feeling pretty good with the swing and irons. This was my first tourney playing these irons and it's really important for me to play clubs under tourament conditions to build confidence. Thumbs up Srixon, well done.

So also added a new/old flatstick. I bounce back and forth between this and the #7 but lately the Odyssey Protype #2 has been winning. I used the #7 the first day of my 3 day tournament last week and it was just ok then used the #2 the rest of the time. I'll snap some pics and I've thought about getting some work to it done to pimp it out a bit.

That Protype line was super underrated J! No surprise that it is rolling the rock well for you! I took my Protype out last night and it feels so good with the Chrome Soft! I would put it up against any milled putter out there for feel and sound, really solid and soft.

Agree, great feeling putters and very underrated. I get it though as Odyssey is the king of inserts so their straight milled stuff usually flies under the radar. The finish is ok but a little bright in the sun so I was thinking about going more gunmetal or something cool. Not sure who people recommend nowadays to do that kind of work but I'll have to look around maybe continental golf.

I was thinking of sending mine out to have the finish removed and just go raw steel, let it rust a little. Or you could always send it off to BOS and have them do a black finish, then throw a black putter shaft in for a stealthy look.
