I have a 50* TP wedge and absolutely love it. Great aesthetics and performance.

Yeah for me I have a gap with PW (145) to 54 (120). Going to try and get the 50 in hopes that it will be a 130yd club.

That sounds very similar to me. I had a gap between my 47* PW (140) and my 54* (115). I picked up the 50* and bent it and the 54* one degree weak to play roughly 125 and 110 yards respectively. It blends beautifully between my PW from the set and higher lofted TP wedges.

So got the 50* matching wedge and i'm very happy. Just have to grab a Nippon shaft for it and i'll be all set.


As for the XR it's been great but as i gravitate toward the Agera i have to go up in loft a bit which is closing the face. With that said I grabbed a 10.5* XR and i'm building it up so i'm probably going to pass along the 9* with melt to the BST. The 10.5 allows me to play it at 10* with a slightly open face which is more pleasing to my eye.

I've been playing 50, 54, 60 for a while and it's perfect. I carry 127 -54, 140-50, and then I bend my PW to carry around 153. It has been the best scoring combo I've ever put together. Because the PW is a different model and for me a different shaft, it might be a weird degree. Depending on the iron set I've played the PW between 49- 46 with a 50 degree wedge. Good luck and I'd highly recommend the 50.

Yeah I've already got a few rounds in with the 50 and its turning out to be a heavily used club instead of easing up on a pw or trying to smoke a 54.

So did you guys re-arrange your top end to add the extra wedge? I went 50 54 58 last year and won't go back, but it created gap problems in my top end, although I use the wedge much more than my 3 iron, I miss the 3 iron off the tee at times....

Kinda. I have my irons bent 1* strong to get flight down so my irons start at 5 iron then hybrid that covers 3/4 irons. That's how I do it. I'm also going to try the Mini 1.5 from Callaway so my bag with look either like this or this

Quick update. I added a 4 wood from the XR line. Standard head not the pro and added 6g's of melt to get my swing weight. Right now have it shafted up with the Veylix Arcane 86g @ 42.5" at D4. The sound and feel is much improved and the head completely muted. Doesn't get better so thumbs up for that. Downside is there was no weight port so i had to pull out the drill. I double checked the pics here from the tour to see where they were driling the ports so no issues there. Her's a pic and then the finished product.

Okay the Bertha Mini 1.5 is out and being that i LOVE these types of clubs I grabbed one. 12* just showed up and a special shaft on the way. Giddy up!

It will be built up at 43.5" at D3-D4 and melt will be added to get my weight and mute the head. Pics to follow of course

The Xphlexxx Agera to match my driver just slightly heavier and higher in the cpm then whats in my driver. I absolutely love the shaft and its so anti left I don't see why it wouldnt be a fit in the mini driver. If it doesn't jive then I have a few other options but i'd like to stay in the 70g range so I don't have to add as much weight to the head.

It does I just hope it plays as well as it does in my driver. Agera is tipped 1/4" in my driver but the one going in the Mini will be tipped 1".

So the construction has begun! Yes this is how the shafts show up, PVC Pipe. NO ONE is breaking these shafts en route, not even UPS haha.

Noticed they have orange graphics on the agera now as well as the red. You go red again? With the orange graphics and the rave reviews it is tempting me to give one a try.

Yeah I saw the orange prototypes. I didn't inquire about them as I like the Red and it will match the Mini color scheme a little better.

Love it J! Can't see why the mini wouldn't be amazing. Will be interested to see how close this is to your driver in terms of distance. Have two tournaments in on XR agera combo and its firmly in the bag. Just can't hit this thing left!!

Jamboy - That's what i'm hoping for but hey it's all trial and error. Left some room on the Agera to tip more if I need to so we will see. Glad your liking the XR/Agera combo. Great combo there and how good does the XR sound and feel?

Also the Mini 1.5 build is complete. I'll snap some pics and post tomorrow, heading to a Mumford and Sons concert tonight so no golf haha
