Have you guys done any great big bertha drivers? I have one and find the sole of the club a little to busy for my liking. I like the matte finish on the crown but the cartoon graphics on the bottom are a bit much.Thanks

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this....

 

I have a silver works tank #7 as my backup, but do not like the color scheme, and hate that i have no sight lines on the fangs.

 

The fellas at Continental can't mill them in , but can add painted in and cleared over, going black shaft, chop an inch and put the Pistol GT2.0 back on.

 

This will satisfy for now, til Odyssey breaks down and does a flow neck tank #7. Shipping to NC today....

I just got a M1 that I would like painted matte black, but when I see the other pictures on this thread, the matte black paint makes the carbon fiber area look gray. The sldr gray, on the other hand looks much more black.

 

How would you describe those two colors in person and how they look compared to the carbon?

Well the good thing is both of those colors match the carbon so they both look great. I am a fan of grey in general so that probably doesn't help you when I say I love the sldr grey.

Russ its going to hold up great. Of course you want to keep a cover on it because like any painted surface if you bang it against a club it won't turn out well.

I am considering having a putter (or two) refinished. Debating between black oxide and oil can, and I'm curious how well the two finishes hold up. Mostly, how they patina and which finish ages the best. I actually enjoy some rust/ patina, so I'm mostly curious how well the black oxide wears. I like the darker color of the black ox better than the oil can (especially because one of the putter heads I'm considering doing a blacked out look with a black shaft), but I also want to see it develop some character (patina) over time.

 

I'd love to see a photo or two if anyone has one of these finishes that has some age on them, to get an idea of what I might be looking at a few months down the line after a refinish. Thanks!

For custom color refinishing (the white part of an M1 Driver head) what is the best way to describe the desired color to you: PMS, CMYK, RGB or HEX?

Sorry for the delay, I was gone a lot of last week. We do not remove the inserts when we refinish the putters. We will put a protective layering over the insert to keep it as is. Thanks.
