Hollywood could not write this stuff! What a strange story from the start. Very bazaar and the punch lines are endless.

Who is going to play RA in movie version?
1)Nicolas Cage
2)Billy Baldwin
3)Randy Quaid
4)Gary Busey

Busey, no doubuts.

I think I'm going to start calling booger sugar "Robert Allenby". While I don't indulge in this, i think it would be great. Maybe start selling it.

30 pages and it looks like he was drugged and robbed. So, while drugged he mixed up his location and details of the story that he was mostly repeating from eyewitnesses having no memory himself.

Having been drugged I empathize. I got very lucky that I didn't feel the effects too greatly until I had locked myself back into my hotel room alone, but it could have easily ended very similarly.

It seems the biggest lesson is not to be a total a'hole or you don't get any sympathy when you're a victim. And, to make the cut of course.
Where are you finding a source that confirms he was drugged?
It's still just him and his caddie who make that claim.

WHAT’S THE STORY?
THEN: Robert Allenby said he was drugged, abducted, bashed and robbed after leaving Waikiki’s Amuse Wine Bar in an ordeal reminiscent of the film Taken.
NOW: Homeless man Toa Kaili said Allenby was “beyond tipsy” and fell face first into a rock. Police have not opened a kidnapping investigation.

On the “abduction”
THEN: Allenby said he was lured to a carpark by two men, abducted in a car then dumped in a park 10km away. He said homeless woman Charade Keane found him as he was thrown from the car. He has since given her $1000 to thank her for saving his life.
NOW: CCTV footage shows Allenby staggering from Amuse Wine Bar with two men and a woman he met at the club. Keane said she found Allenby confused and bloodied around the corner from Amuse Wine Bar, not 10km away.

On Allenby’s injuries
THEN: Allenby said he was bashed in the face with a baseball bat or fist.
NOW: Police say Allenby’s wounds were not consistent with an assault but appeared to be the result of a scrape suffered from a fall.
Mr Kaili said his friend Chris Khamis was with Allenby when he fell, claiming he was “rocking back and forth, nodded off and face-planted into this damn jagged rock”.

On being robbed
THEN: Allenby said he was robbed of his wallet, phone and passport.
NOW: CCTV footage shows a man on a $10,000 spending spree with Allenby’s credit card.
Police believe there is a strong case against unauthorised use of Allenby’s credit card, but are yet to prove he was robbed. Mr Kaili said Allenby accused him and friend Chris Khamis of robbing him, then later told the pair he was robbed by “some punks”. Ms Keane told Channel Nine that Allenby was arguing with two people when she found him and that he offered to withdraw $500 on his last credit card in exchange for his wallet.

On how it ended
THEN:
Allenby said the ordeal ended when he ran down the street with Keane and came across a former military officer who took him back to his hotel.
NOW:
Keane said a military officer intervened in an argument and helped Allenby into a cab to his hotel.

What a disappointment.

Here I was awaiting the real story to come out, which I thought was due to:

1. mob/gambling
2. tranny
3. drugs

Now we find out it's allegedly because he's a sloppy drunk. Major disappointment.

Nothing worse than a self loathing drunk.....and a friggin liar.

A new golf phrase has emerged.....

A Robert Allenby - a drive that hits the cart path and then comes to rest on the cart path.
"i just hit my ball on the allenby and it went out of bounds"
LOL
Good one.

or how about

" To get some extra yards I got an Allenby bounce off the cartpath "
i'm certainly not looking to allenby this weekend because that'll more than likely mean my drive is way off target.....but will have to consider dropping a reference out there if it happens ;)

You could also use it , for example, when telling your wife a really elaborate lie rather then just admitting you were out drinking.

"Man my wife was grilling me about getting home late Friday, so I really gave her quite an Allenby"

Wouldnt approximately 100% of people forgive him if he had come out and said:

"Hey guys, haha, so my caddie and I went to a couple of bars last night, I had way too much to drink and as you can see, I tried to break apart the sidewalk with my face. I'm going to take a couple weeks off to get my head on straight and then I'll be right back at it."

I mean first the kidnapping story, then the Taken references, now he was drugged at a strip club. Well, I think we are circling around the truth here...

You know what piss me off. The Sony Open is a large event for Hawaii, It brings in the much needed tourism in the beginning of the year. The Event is sponsored by some great entities that do so much for Hawaii in addition to the much needed tourist industries.

This guy effectively black eyed the Tourist industry, created fear and worry and for what....to save face?? His story is all jumbled and questionable. But Hawaii Takes national news and gets a black eye for this?

Will this guy apologize? Probably not? How will this effect other pro's coming to Hawaii for the Sony that is an important event for Sony and Hawaii? What about the tourist that come just to see the event, stay at the Kahala, and enjoy a vacation here? Will this cause them to rethink their plans.

This selfish golfer granted I am assuming that his story is full of it...and we can see many holes has affected millions on an Island that needs the positive exposure not some drunk rant that creates national fear......

I really do hope that if everything transpires and becomes open this dude apologizes to Sony, Hawaii and all the Charities that bring these tour pros to Hawaii........

*end rant*

PS I hope that this does not scar some of you avid golfers from coming to Hawaii to enjoy a vacation and a round of golf! You deserve it to yourself to enjoy yourself and truly the wonderful people here in Hawaii!

PPS......If you think I am lying....if you come to Oahu, PM me, I will schedule a round of golf with you!

Don't worry, Everybody knows Hawaii is cool. The most danger I was in was when my wife almost killed me when we went on the road to hana and I pulled over with nobody around for miles and got out and jumped in one of these. Think she thought the monster from the trash compactor in Star Wars was going to get me ; )

There needs to be a Robert Allenby face plant plaque exactly where his face impacted the sidewalk...kind of like a cross between Han Solo frozen in carbonite and the Hogan 1 iron plaque at Merion. I'd make the trip to see it!

*Soap Box Time*

I know right.
I think Dallas went through the same thing when they claimed Kennedy got shot.
Now the field for the Byron Nelson isn't as strong as it used to be.

Yes, but this made national news....... Not positive national news.....in addition this could affect Sony's decision to keep Sponsoring as they dont want any negative Press......This guy did it.....and again.... I dont think this guy will apologize........What if Hawaii loses this event......how will that affect the workers, the charities and the millions of dollars that come in from the tourist........

SELFISH......thats all it was, one man trying not to get in trouble but ruining it for many.....

I agree 100%. His lie was very selfish and damaging to Hawaii's tourism industry.

Please lets have a show of hands to those who actually believed his original story... :cheesy:

Looks like there's still one.

+1...why are we jumping to the conclusion he was drugged? If anything, the conclusion would be he got hammered and passed out.
Seriously, his original outrages completely fabricated story falls apart and now he changes the story and wants everyone to believe he was drugged. He needs to just own the fact he got too hammered and passed out. He can stop trying to gain public sympathy. It just makes him look worse.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
