Curious how the pro am works?? Does every player in the tourney play in the pro am ?? Dosent seem possible due to time restrictions .

 

Are the pro am tee times of shotguns ??

 

If players are. Not in pro am is course closed to them ??

I have to admit, the thread title confused me. But I didn't have any problem understanding what the OP asked in the post.

Unfortunately OP, I don't know the answers to any of the questions. But I think if you use the "Full Editor" option you can edit the title of the thread. That would at least fix that typo and maybe someone who does know would see it and chime in.

At an event with 1 course, there are only about 50-60 pros that play in the pro AM. They generally do first and 10th tee starts. The pros not playing in the pro am do not play the course at the same time but they could be on the range.

I think that answers the questions asked but not 100% sure.

The wednesday pro am involve mostly the top ranked (1-100) players on the PGA Tour Money list if scheduled to appear/play that week. I know for the Farmers at Torrey, here is the info.

There are pro ams on Tuesday and Wednesday. The tour players not playing in the pro ams can't play the course. the pros play with 4 other amateur golfers

Generally, the top players are the ones who have to play. I believe they get 2 "get out of jail" cards so they don't have to play in pro ams.

I know many have the weaker one on Monday. Weaker pros and less $$$ for the AMs.

Mickelson was gracious saying Berman had 4-5 net birds today.
