Good to hear. Last time I played River Valley was roughly 3-4 years ago. The place was a damn goat track at the time. There were weeds/dandelions growing out of the fairway, rough and sand bunkers on every hole. Talk about total neglect and haven't been back since.

There is still some of that, and a shame, as I think it is a solid layout. It just needs some TLC and some manicuring.

It's under new(ish) management. He's a younger guy with his dog around the club house a lot. Nice guy. I've heard things are better than they were before he took over.

 

But yes, it could still use more work. It has great potential if they just invested in it.

To my surprise, Nike Outlet at Jordan Creek Town Center WDM, had grey size 13 Flyknit elites ($160) and grey TW 17's ($120??$) if anyone is looking. The toebox on the elites was wider than the LCV but lacked cushioning in the upper area around the laces. Super lightweight though.

Man I might have to make another trip back out to the Nike Outlet. Shirts fit great by the way blackmoonlight! If something comes together for an outing let me know, Id definitely be interested.

Didn't look at any other shoe sizes and the clothing was pretty much the same basic block color polos and shorts that are always there.

Saturday is supposed to be 46 and sunny in Des Moines. If the snow is melted enough I’ll bet Beaver Creek in Grimes is open!!

Getting a group together to go down from Wisconsin and we are looking to play 36 at the same track next Saturday and 18 somewhere else that Sunday. Any recommendations on courses is appreciated.

Well, it should have been everything for the most part. My Bro works at Des Moines Golf, supposed to open today I think.

 

The weather man pulled the rug on us this weekend. Friday and Saturday were supposed to be nice golf days, now it may snow.

Dang! Waukee’s Sugar Creek is officially open for the season. Have a tee time as first one off at 11 when it’s officially good to go. Hoping River Valley is ready Friday morning before Tiger is on in the afternoon.

As did I, off at 1 today for the rest of the week. I was planning on taking my kid out tomorrow, but the weather is just not looking great. I will probably sneak out though, 11 at Terrace. Friday is looking worse.
