Finally pulled the trigger and bought vapor fly pro irons and extra set of black z grips. I will use them someday when I feel I'm not hitting good with my vapor pros. With 49 degree aw, do I need 54 and 60 wedges or 56 and 60? I hit about 115 yds with my current 58.

 

If it were me, I'd do the AW bent to 50, 56 bent to 55, and then a 60.

They would have just gave him some blue one lol. I did see the putter that they made for him which was all murdered out black with the mamba sign on it which was pretty sweet. Then the head cover which I have.

I have the non pro. Tried out both and hit this one better. Funny, I needed a new driver and this was when all the Nikes went on sale the week they announced they would be out of the club making biz. So I picked up this club and now I'm sorry I never seriously considered Nike clubs before. I've had it neutral lie at 11*. I'm thinking about dropping it down to 10 only because it hangs up there in the sky sometimes. Makes a whooshing sound. Has a soft crunch feel to the sweet spot at impact. Seriously seems to reduce spin compared to my last driver (10yrs old). Seems to hang out there, almost like a float. I also like the color and shape better than the pro. The Tensei shaft is sweet, too. I'm coming from a pro launch blue that now feels like a 2by4 in comparison. Having fun with it.

Thanks.. Yes they are just regular Vapor Fly's, I have only been playing golf since July, and was on the fence between the these and the black/blue Pros (which I love the look of)... But these came with the Mamiya Recoil 460 shafts, and being new to golf I just wanted to try out graphite and see what they are all about, how they feel, and how I hit them.... And for $300 for the set, it was a no brainer to just pick them up and play around with them.. See how they feel compared to my XR OS... If anything I will just keep them as an extra set or if I just don't like the way the graphite plays or feels I'll just sell them down the line...

Just on 1st looks, the shafts almost look like a steel shaft from a distance, they are not dark grey graphite looking.. Not that it matters to me. And as far as the chunkiness of the clubs, they are very close to my XR OS, which I thought they would be a little less to be honest.. Would love to see the size difference between the VF & VFP.

Those irons are mine haha. Just the red ones because they are women's shafts. I'll probably get her matching irons soon.

Anyone else find Engage square wedges difficult to hit? Love them for full shots, but for green side shots or for laying the club face open they're a nightmare. Used to use Vokey M or F grinds and they worked much better.

Dual sole is magic. I only have a 52* square for full shots. I have engage 58* and 60* and those work wonders close to the greens and especially in the bunker. I rarely have to open the fade too wide to hit a bunker shot.

I think the Dual Sole is the most versatile of the three. The toe sweep excels out of bunkers, heavy rough and wet (sloppy wet) conditions. Is not the best when you want to lay open the face due to the larger sole area out on the toe. Square sole and dual sole are good all around but the dual sole has an advantage when you want to lay open the face; the leading edge remains relatively tight to the ground.

 

I have the 58 in both dual sole and toe sweep.......the dual sole is in the bag most of the time. If I'm playing a course that is unusually soft/mushy I'll put the toe sweep in for the round.

Dual sole lays open oh so nicely. I prefer to lay that open over the toe sweep messing around in basement carpet.

I'm getting ready to purchase the engage wedges to replace my VR forged wedges square 52&56 and 60 dual sole. I love the dual sole wedge. It's my go to in almost any situation
