I do that too every now and then

especially the faces, ill do those probably once every 2 weeks

if i get caught in a rain or super humid AM round, they get done shortly after

 

I don't mind some rust but when they get super brown its time to re-up the finish

Got my Vapor Fly Pro's back in the bag. I have PubLinks qualifying coming up next so I am settling in on my bag. I will leave the tinkering for casual rounds. I really think TM did an excellent job with the PSI irons. The shape is incredible and on mishits they don't lose much distance if any at all. I think they are a better iron than this years 716 AP2 and CB. If it wasn't for the Nike's I would be gaming them. But I really enjoy the flight I get with the Vapor Fly. They spin a bit more and launch a little higher for me as well. The also flight super low when needed. So for the qualifying round I am putting the TW Proto back in and taking the 006 out. I tweaked my setup in my putting and have been draining everything. Also settled in on the Cobra with the HZRDUS is just a killer combo for me as well. Miss hits don't get too funky with spin, might not be the longest combo I have had but dispersion wise it has been the best. I finally got my Trackman data back and I am spinning the Cobra in the 2100-2400 range ball speeds are 165-171 and launch is 13-14*. Could it be better? Possibly... But that is pretty darn good. :)

Qualified for Pub Links today. Shot -2 on the front. On the 12th hole we got a warning for slow play (not my fault) and we got put on the clock. I didn't handle the change of rhythm well and ended up shooting 74. Tied for 2nd and placed 3rd after a card off and qualified for the championship rounds. Unfortunately I have to work so I won't be able to play. The Cobra LTD with the HZRDUS is such an incredible fit for me. I was striping it all day. My high draw is back with this club and dispersion is the best setup I've had. Vapor Fly Pro irons continue to be just what I need out of my irons. This might be a boring year for equipment for me as the only thing that might be coming out is the 915HD. Nike RZN Tour Platinum is the best ball I've played to date. Little disappointed that I didn't handle myself after the warning but still getting my feet wet in these scratch events. Last year I started as a 6 so some of this will be trial and error. Felt like I left a 68 out there though.

Great Job on qualifying Dre :drinks: Too bad you can't play in the championship- although, on the plus side it looks like you found a driver. I have yet to battle test mine but I think I may have found what I am looking for as well. The Nike RZN tour platinum sounds interesting...definitely a ball I am considering this year. Congrats man! Great playing and way to keep it going even after the warning. You never know what you're going to get with some of these events, so still making it through is something to be very proud of!

Good to hear the LTD/HZRDUS is working for you! The epoxy and grip just dried on mine last night, so hopefully the weather gets nice here and I can get it out on the course!

Going with Vapor Fly Hybrid with a different shaft than stock. Asking a friend on the correct suggested setup then going to give it a fly lol

Thanks. Lesson learned! Just need to stick to my game and don't change my tempo because it had nothing to do with me anyways. Something in the 60's would make me very proud this year!

thanks everyone. I have another one coming up. 4ball and this is the one I REALLY want to qualify for. Championship is 3 days at Spyglass! But if I don't qualify I have a backup plan. 3 day tournament in Palm Springs lol

The thought crossed my mind. But I am not sure I am good enough to be swinging a 2 iron let alone stopping it into a green. I can flight the 4 iron low with a stinger if needed which sometimes I do on short par 4s. Still goes 230ish on courses with normal roll. If I were to it would be a 3 iron because the lofts are pretty strong and throw a hybrid shaft in. Just not sure how much use a 2 iron would be in my bag.

Finally stopped overthinking and listening to too much "other" instruction. I stopped trying to be someone else's swing and accepted mine and what I do in MY swing. Things started falling in place. Streaky but more in place than before. Stopped chasing a perfect golf swing. Hard not to though!
