Great pictures guys. Where were you able to hit them? Have stores/clubs started receiving their fitting heads or just a rep bringing them around? Any idea when clubs/stores will get them for their fitting carts? Also, does anyone know what the full line of no-upcharge stock shafts will be?
Yeah Golfsmith in Chicago has them. Not sure about the shafts but after reading thru this thread modus, s300, CFS, and maybe some other shafts are free.

Maybe it is the angles the pics are shot from, but the i5 looks ginormous compared to the i-e.
ie1 looks a lot cleaner than i5 in person - offset difference is very noticeable as is the difference in sole width. I have been toying with the idea of buying a set of i25's with a bounce grind and back grind over the last month or so. I have a lot of shop credit, and thought it would be fun to do. Ping essentially made that iron for me, at least the sole width aspect of it.

Well, agreed, the i5s are quite large vs. the iE1 but the difference is exaggerated due to the fact that the iE1 have been slimmed down even more from the i25s. Offset, sole width, topline all have been beveled and trimmed up. The transition from the hosel to the offset is really smoothed out on these new i's too.

If you look at the old school Ping irons, the transitions and toplines aren't as clean and crisp, more 'raw' casting if you will, but I really noticed that these new iE1s are very svelte, approaching s series looks IMO.

Hit mine in a pro golf discount. Wasn't able to stick around long enough to ask questions about specs/shaft options.

These things look very good in person, much much better than the online pics. The silver in the cavity looks great and the blue is so insignificant that it actually adds a little detail to the head. I'm definitely not as concerned with the blue as I originally was.

Next time I'm in Golf Town I'm going to see if I can hit a green dot with a heavier shaft.

Just like the i20's and i25's the short irons all looked fine. Once you got to the 5 iron up they basically turned into g25's. It was the long irons that always needed the most love in the looks and playability department. Way too much offset and sole width. Hopefully the iE irons have addressed that all the way through.

I'm liking what I'm seeing so far in the short iron demo's. Not replacing my s55's anytime soon but the "I" line always has my attention.

The more I see the more I like them, not to mention you guys who have hit them have so far had nothing bad to say. We'll probably get them on demo 6 months after you in the U.S. But I'm interested in this Nippon shaft and how that head feels on a relatively light shaft? I currently play 6.0 PX which come in at 120, but the Nippon comes in at 105 so I'm wandering if the head would get a bit whippy like the CFS tends to. Clearly I could just put a PX in it as a standard upgrade but I'm really intrigued by the Nippon and would love to hear your opinions with this head?

This might be the specification for the iE1 irons. You can find them on Ping site if you look at Pernilla Lindberg or Azahara Munoz. They are listed as prototype irons but I think both have the iE1 in play in this week US open. Looks like they jacked up the loft by 1 degree on 3-PW.

The offset numbers are way off so maybe these are not the iE1 specifications after all.

That would be a lot of offset on the PW. 4.6mm. Plus, I thought I read in this thread that Ping was going to make them a 1/4" longer to keep up with market trends. I may be wrong though.

I called my local Golf Galaxy yesterday and asked if the demos were in and I was told yes and that I could come down and hit them. Drove there and was told that their in, but no one can demo them until the 15th. He didn't seem sympathetic when I told him I drove there because I had just called and was told I could come demo them. I was not a happy camper.

Am I seeing correctly that the neck PING label is layered in rather than stamped?

Also, it looks like all the blue in the badging is just that... badging.

And those "specs" above look awfully similar to G15 specs...

14 Pings. Blueprints are incredibly good. Fetch is the most underrated putter on the market. Don't @ me.

I hit the 7 iron today with the modus shaft. I was indoors but they feel awesome in my opinion. I compared the head to S55 and Anser.

I think the size and shape is very close to the Anser in my opinion. The irons look longer from heal to toe in pictures but when I compared to Anser, they were the same size. The top line is also very much the same. I loved the weight with the modus shaft.

Can't wait to get a demo that I can hit at the range and compare to my JPX 800 pros which are hard to beat.
