Best feeling cast clubs I ever played.
Local pawn shop has a set of these with KBS tour stiff shafts. Asking mid $200s if I remember correctly and the set appears to be in great shape.
Alas, my game will not ever swing stiff steel again...

I agree with this. Adams forgings were extremely underrated. The MB2's, CB2's and 3's, and the CMB's were just great sticks. To top it off they all came stock with premium components at a non-premium price. Think about how many of the top OEM's are going to put C-Tapers and New Decades on a club without charging you through the nose for it.

I agree. You can throw the A12 Pros in there too.

Cobra carbon cb's. Geoff ogilvy played a 2iron from this set for many years.
Original taylormade LT another great set
Callaway x18pro series another great set

X18 Pro Series recorded my only Hole-in-One, well, and my only Albatross too!!....So they had that going for them.

Those were an all time great, but hard to call under the radar

What did fly under the radar were the Beryllium Copper versions, the 845bc Golden Scots.

They were the last cast clubs that saw significant action in my bag, with Loomis Tour X shafts and the first generation Winn grips that didn't wear out.

Dimension Z irons, felt great and they were built like a tour players set. Gram matched heads, gram matched shafts, gram matched grips, frequency matched shafts, precisely swingweighted and built to any spec you could possible desire. I had a set of "forged feel" muscle backs the were cast 1020 carbon steel. Everyone used to tell he how nice forged irons felt and I honestly could not tell the difference between the Dimension Zs and forged titleist 690 mb back then.

Current model, not old, Acer XV Pro irons. Heads are $9/each and super solid. Tons of banter about the new Pine i e1 irons having a soft feel and these things do too because they are made from the same 431 stainless. If people hit these things they would be amazed.

I know this is an old post but I just saw these and I'm in the market for a new set of irons. How do the play/feel versus the other big brand golf clubs? They look very sharp!

They feel excellent and play just as well. Assemble them with your choice of shafts and go play. They are an unbeatable value. I know it's an old thread, but another mention for the Yonex tour forged. Mickelson gamed them before moving over to the big boys endorsement $$. BEST graphite shafts ever put in a iron, butter soft, and long. I have them in my bag to this day and I would say maybe one out of five people I talk to on the course has ever heard of them. Now that's under the radar.

+1 on the golfsmith tour cavity forged

Ram oversize nickel. Ok guys, on the level, I am a blade dude. Wouldn't care if I were a 6 or a 36, I just love the way they look and feel. However, if by the almighty's grace a full set of these came into my hands, they'd kick out every legendary forged blade I own and I'd play them until the grooves were gone. If you have a set, I will pay in blood if necessary

Mac Greggor MacTec 685. Some of the most forgiving set of CB I've ever gamed. I still use them on occasion, usually in the heat of the summer for a few rounds, since my swing speed went out with my back.

Agreed. They have an amazing shape at address and quite forgiving.

Normally I'd take the mick for you posting that twice, but as I have a set of these in my backup bag, I can only agree they are worth mentioning twice :) Top quality forgings, the shafts were incredible in their time and still stand up well today - probably not the ultimate control and feel as steel, bit still very good. I also have the Yonex P.M Signature wedge they did around the same time, basically a chrome PM Grind with a graphite shaft.

I have a set of these in Florida. Still excellent playing heads. I put Apollo stepless in them. Solid stix and WAY under the radar.
