New Pinnacle Balls

At a certain point about two weeks ago, I reached a critical time period in my life: I now think aboubt buying new golf equipment every day. I cannot go into a store that sells golf balls without at least looking. And if I see any pinnacle gold I will buy them!

 

Welcome to our world........I do that now and pretty much any ball I use I shoot into the 80's

With all the new type of balls out, you almost have to be fitted for them.

Thats crazy to think that.. anyone ever been fitted for a golf ball?

the DSG & Golf Galaxy near me told me they don't do that and the best they can do is have you describe your swing/game to them and they'll "suggest" what ball(s) for you to use.

 

I wish I had a PGA Superstore near me.

I have played the new Pinnacle Rush now for about a month and I am really sold on the ball. I think it is really close to the Bridgestone e6. Just today I caught one a touch thin and you knew it would be a spinning monster. Backed it up 5 feet. You could NEVER do that with the old Pinnacle Golds.

That's good news because I've played the e6 and it was a straight shooter

i just need distance, lol...somehow i put enough spin on the gold to hold greens pretty well...

Anyone game the soft? Feels great in a practice session. The soft feel was very noticeable on chips. How's the durability? Just after a few swings, it has a few scuff marks.

I entered the Pinnacle "sweeptstakes" from their website hoping to get a free dozen since they are available to purchase where I am. I play an array of golf balls so when and if they come ill try and give my take on them.

Only played the new Velocity and it is for sure a long ball off any club, problem is don't expect much stopping power.............

Had another practice session with the Pin Soft. This time in warmer weather. It felt soft off the driver, which was my concern on a cooler weather day. Feels great off all clubs, can't wait to put it into play.

popped a 78 sunday w/ the gold...it sticks if you hit it high enough, which i do...chips like a dream if you play for rollout...most folks say to get the ball on the ground asap, cuz it's more accurate when chipping...i lob it up and let it roll as close as i can...just outa habit, i guess...plus, i can use the lob exclusively from 50yds in...

also, i was noticing yesterday that pg has a somewhat tacky coating that may be allowing me to spin it enough...hope the rush has that same coating, as i'll run outa gold in 2-3 years...

i rushed over to walmart yesterday to see if they had any golds in clearance, but they were soft on gold inventory...did have the rush in yellow...

Have you compared the new balls to pg or even played them?

Interested in reviews of the new balls not the old balls that have another forum previously.

Have had bad weather in Colorado so not been able to play for awhile but hoping to get out soon with the rush and soft again.
