Who else loves their Tour Edge sticks? Which ones are in your bag?

Right now I have an XCG-V driver, XCG-6 fairway and hybrid, and Exotics CU irons that I occasionally game. I want a new set of TEE irons but apparently the only steel shaft they offer now is the KBS 90, which to me is like swinging a noodle. I know I could reshaft but would prefer not to go that route. Plus reshafting voids the lifetime warranty.

I do and it's not just because I've worked for them on two separate occasions over the years. I have a cb4 15 degree in the bag and wouldn't recommend any other manufacturer over TEE to someone looking to get a new fairway metal. That being said the rest of their sticks are highly underrated as well. I gamed an 8 degree jmax driver and a lift off 12 degree tour spoon for years and they were both money.

On thing I wish however is for them to offer a set of blades. Not a new set every product cycle but maybe one every 8-10 years or so. The original tour edge blades were pretty sick and the vblades were a really nice forged cavity blade design.

I really like the new CB Pro Tungsten irons. If I could order a set with Dynamic Gold, Project X, or normal KBS Tour, they'd kick my Callaways out of the bag.

I was looking at the cb4 tour driver, love the shape and it felt nice....

Can either of you speak to that driver in particular?

Pull the trigger if you're good off the tee. It's long but not particularly forgiving.

I have a bunch of TE stuff, not all of it gets playing time though. I have a set of XCG3 irons that were in the bag most of last season (maybe the nicest shaped "big GI" irons I have ever seen), and an XCG6 driver in the bag now which may or may not keep it's stock shaft.

They make good stuff and they get spots in Pro bags with no endorsement money, which says something to me.

This. Had the CB4 driver, 15* 3wd and 19* hybrid all with like series shafts (ion ahina's). Driver was promptly sold, 3wd made it the season, long but found others more forgiving. Sleeper was the hybrid, monster and one club I regret selling.

Played an xcg7 beta driver last season, also picked up a cb5 4 wood and 4 hybrid. Driver and 4 wood are in contention against the adams xtd ti driver and fairway I picked up recently, and the aeroburner tp fairway I definitely didn't need. Hybrid didn't blow me away and I was able to sell it for almost double I paid for it, so away it went.

Okay...I'll be the first to say I play TE Hot Launch hybrid irons. I'm not 90 years old and play just above single index. Just bought these in December so I haven't played but a couple rounds due to the lousy weather up here. Fact is the ball will fly Jason Day high and spins like crazy off everything from a 7 on down so I can now stop the ball on the green, like you guys with a much faster swing speed. Even just a descent swing produces a high straight ball flight with minimal distance loss. Not crazy long like M2 irons but I've learned at least for me, those irons get distance from minimal spin which means the ball will land and roll forever. Use the sand wedge around the green for chips and pitching without the worry of chili dips.

I might be one of the sickos in this group....have a set of the original blades, but they need shafts. Sold the V Blades but have the CB forged irons ...also looking for a shaft match. Got the cb1 in late '04...still have the head, then the xcg4 and now the e8. There's more in the closet! Play the Trilogy hybrids these days. .........The big box guys will always try to steer you toward Tmag or whatever they are getting spiffed on this quarter, but as we know, you gotta at least give the TEE stuff a try.

I have an E8 Beta 15* 3 Wood (Aldila Rogue Silver 60 shaft) and it's amazing. I'm maddeningly inconsistent with a driver so I've completely taken it out of the bag over the past year or so and have just went 3W off the tee. I was happy with the 220-240 I got with my previous 3Ws, but this E8 Beta just blows all of them out of the water. I'm consistently 240+ and I occasionally CARRY it 250+ when I really crank it. Those types of distances were previously unheard of for me lol. It's easy to hit off of the fairway and rough for me as well.

I'm contemplating grabbing another E8 Beta 3W with an Aldila Rogue Black in 13* for a little extra distance off of the tee. Would the extra distance gained be that dramatic? Or am I better off just sticking with the 15*?

Find a good fitter, and get the shaft nailed down for your swing....all the Exotics gear is made in Chicago and I believe they can do whatever custom spec you need!

I'm a big TEE fan and have been using their fairway woods (various models) almost exclusively for the last several years. More recently though I've been disappointed in their offerings. In their focus to increase distance they keep pushing the CG forward and they are using really light shafts on most offerings. I'm using the XCG7 Beta with Black Tie since this model seems to be the last with a decently rear CG and a shaft with decent weight. I love the clubs but there is something about the visual appearance of how the hosel blends with the club that throws me off; there is a lot of face progression for one thing and the hosel almost looks crooked. I'd like to see an E8 with rear biased CG and a nice shaft like the Rogue 70 Black.

Big fan here of the Exotics heads. Been playing one model or another for probably 10 years.( started with the original CB fairways and Proto tour driver)

Not a big fan of their stock shafts.

The only exception being the CB Pro Ltd Edition fairways from a few years back, that came with the real Fuji Speeder 757 and 661. The best off the shelf fairways ever. It took me over a year before I even thought about changing shafts. I usually change out stock shafts after a couple swings, just enough to figure out what the head tendencies / biases are.

Only fwy woods....got rid of mine and tried every single one out and went back and bought xcg5 again....they were all similar on good shots but just like xcg series better and seem to hit it more consistently. ....performance wise they all do the same rhing.....I don't care for any of their other products....

XCG 5 fairways were the best all time. Wish I kept mine

+1...right now i only have the 4W and am desperately looking for the matching 7W with a Tour AD40 A flex shaft...

i also had the 3W but find the 4W just so much easier to launch higher...
