UA underwhelms again. Not a surprise. It's why I have zero UA in my closet. I've never seen in any of their stores, online, or during broadcasts, anything, ever, where I'd say "Wow! I gotta have that."

 

BTW, white pants aren't "in". Just because people wear them doesn't make them "in". They are always a mistake for all the reasons listed.

By definition a lot people wearing white pants make them "in". There are a lot of things that are "in" that I don't care for myself, but I don't think that just because I don't like them doesn't mean they aren't "in".

 

They aren't "in". It's a lot of fools making a fashion misstep. Like butterfly collars or bell bottoms. Or beards. Or joggers. There are plenty of golfers wearing cargo shorts. Are they "in" also?

 

Which is worse, the fool that chooses to look foolish, or the fools that follow him?

 

Just because a group decides to dress a certain way does not mean it necessarily looks good. In the case of white pants on men, and cargo shorts, it doesn't.

 

If a lot of guys on tour started dressing monochrome orange as Fowler used to, would that make it "in"? No. It'd be a lot of guys dressing foolishly to get attention.

You obviously don't understand what "in" means. You mentioned Bell Bottoms look bad, but they had their day when they too were "in". Also just walk around on a college campus for an hour and tell me joggers and beards aren't "in". I think I feel as offended by cargo shorts as you do about white pants, but cargo shorts are definitely "in". Lots of people still wear them on a frequent basis. That is the definition of "in". "In " is not what you think looks good, "in" is what is popular among the population, and whether you like it or not, to a large portion of the golfer population white pants/shorts are popular.

More on Fowler. I typically do not have a problem with Fowler's clothing (I think the joggers/high tops thing works for him), but those Friday pants might be the worst that I have seen. I feel like they should come with stilts and a red nose.
