Yeah. Did a bunch of research. But in the end this has got to be a reliable club. In my opinion, this is a spectacular option if you are searching for something on the greens. But if you are a decent putter, leave this alone. A little like the long putter/side saddle debate.

I had the opportunity to try before the purchase.

Looks like there is going to be alot of these up for sale used for 5 rounds.

Agree and mine will most likely be one of them once my other ad sells/closes.

There are things I enjoy about the brick and things I don't. I need to just stick with face balanced mallets since I've proven over the years I putt best with them but the inner club ho in me always wants to try the newest options.

I played 9 with mine tonight. Not bad. Right now I like my BB1 better. Playing 8 rounds in the next 5 days so by the end of that I will know for sure.

I have the round grip and love it! Granted, I didn't try the big dog and ordered the round grip blind. I actually ordered another round grip through Edel for an Odyssey 7.

I don't like hard seams/edges in putter grips and this works perfect for that preference. I think Edel's description on their website regarding the benefits of the round grip are spot on. Hope this helps.

Anyone who owns this putter try the round grip? Thinking of ordering one with the weight kit this weekend.

I installed the round grip tonight as it just arrived. Night and day difference from the stock Big Dog grip. The natural round feel combined with The Brick is an early winner. It gets tested on the course this weekend.

I played my first round with The Brick earlier today and putt very well. The stock grip was the only negative of the entire experience.

Just ordered the weight kit and round grip. Thanks for the reviews of the grip. Will post back my findings. I actually liked the big dog but have always liked round putter grips so figured I would give it a shot.

Played with the Edel round grip today. Felt good and putt well but it will be short lived for me. I got a wild hair after and installed a Tour Velvet jumbo with a staggered build up to take out the taper. Feels good on carpet so far.

I putted around with one today at the PGA Tour SS, and I must say, I really liked it. Just felt well balanced. However, I had only 26 putts on Sunday with my Bettinardi that I spent $450 on a few months ago, so there's no way I can justify picked up a Brick right now. Right? I mean, right?? Yeah, I'm a putter ho.

rolled it a couple weeks ago, we were not friends, horrible sound at impact, had a very hard time lining it up which i thought would be easy. As far as the stroke, the torque balance felt weird but to each his own

Question for those who have used or own The Brick. Does it appear to have a bit of a forward shaft lean? I just received mine and I feel like in order to have the face square, my hands need to be slight in front of the putter face. I guess from the pictures, I expected the shaft to be straight up and down.

Thanks for your reply.

I am going to say yes and no. No it does not, yes it looks that way. I only am saying this after looking at it from 50 different angles to make sure I wasn't losing it.

29 Putts first round with Brick. (I average about 38 Putts) Speed control on lags is not dialed in yet. I had a couple of 6 ft comeback putts. Key for me is I am a Yippy short putter. With this I hit my line on all but one of my short putts. I seem to flinch less so far. I will report back again next weekend. for most of my life I putted with an 8802 or a bullseye, so I prefer no sight lines.

I know it's a bit delayed to discuss this with you but I own one with the round grip and UST shaft. I love the feel of the round grip but I'm struggling figuring out where I want my thumb to go. Sometimes I want it to go down the shaft and sometimes I want to wrap it over like my full swing grip. Can't make up my mind!!! But the feel is great and I really like the dimension of it.

So I gamed mine yesterday and I really liked the simplicity of it. I just needed to line up the ball and it was super easy to center and get started on the proper line. The sound is somewhat bothersome but not the end of the world. I'm becoming immune to how it sounds or looks as long as it goes in the hole. I plan on using it again today and see how it holds up. Coming from an E-2 Torque Balance, it's similar so I'm not really the best judge to go from normal blade or mallet to the brick but I think it's easier to line up than my E-2. Mine has the round grip on it and the only complaint I have is that I am undecided as to how I should have my thumb. It doesn't feel as easy to naturally let open and close as a traditional putter grip does but maybe it takes a bit more time. I do wish it had the same pixl insert that my E-2 does but that's not the end of the world.

I might see if I can add some lead tape or maybe resin in the sound slot to add some weight to the club head and quiet the sound but again, sound isn't the most important thing to me anymore. I do prefer the feel of my E-2 though. The E-2 feels much more solid from my experiences.

There's a lot of comments on this thread about the sound, does the Brick make that distinctive a noise on all putts?

I still remember using an Odyssey Dual Force 550 with it's distinctive "tink", and tbh I really liked it.

Despite not putting well, I'm a big fan of how my Brick performed for me during a 63 hole tournament last weekend. I made a few long putts and had a lot of great lag putts. My dumb head and nerves got the best of me so I missed some what would be easy putts any other day.

It'll last another week but there are some strong contenders creeping up including my Method 006, Bobby Grace Tour Issue, Odyssey 7CH, and Edel E-2. Something about the simplicity of the brick just makes me love it so much more than others. It may not set up the best or have the sexiest look or sound but I do love the way it rolls and how "point and shoot" it is and right now that's all that matters.

The tink is usually from toe shots, while sweet spot shots have a subtle click and feel wonderful. For me, the short putts are money, but distance control on longer putts is lacking I believe due to the oversized grip. I've never been a fan of them! I'm about to switch the grip to the Edel round grip, which is smaller, to see if there's an improvement in distance control on the longer putts.

I really loved it a first but now it just sits in the closet. Really need to ditch the round grip and try it again with a normal putter grip
