A thread about Tiger Woods hitting 3 shots that dont matter a hill of beans has reached 10 pages.

Never change, WRX.

Right, we need to get back to the really relevant topics we discuss like......

It's a site for people to talk about anything and everything golf. Tiger is mentioned in damn near every thread in one way or another. His hitting 3 in the water on a 100 yard par 3 is not gonna be noticed? What do you want to talk about?

It doesnt look like he will play this year. If hes not playing 18 holes yet thats a long long way from the pga tour. See you at torrey pines in 2017 GOAT, get well.

Seems like the odds are better than not that you are correct at the moment.

Anyone who thinks Tigers career isn't over hasn't had multiple back surgeries.

I've had 7 of them. He's done. No way he will ever again be able to play 4 days in a row, walking, and be at the top of his game. let alone doing that week after week along with practicing.

I bet he has pain even putting on his socks in the morning.

Really ?

Tiger hit a full warm up routine at his TigerJam. He was hitting some drivers out there around 285-290 pretty easily. I'm sure he could dead-arm a wedge 100y no problem. Fairly certain he hit his lob wedge dead-arm knowing it would go about 80y only and look close but still dunk it.

I played in a credit card rewards tournament for Chase Sapphire Preferred at Sherwood CC with Stewart Cink. All we had to do was get CTP against him for a free SLDR driver (July of 2014.) It happend to be my birthday, and I told him that. I overheard the TM rep tell him to "lose" 10 drivers roughly that day. Our group was 2nd to last to play against him, he asked them how many winners so far, they said 5. He proceeded to pull a 9iron 25y left of the green. All we had to do was hit the green to win the driver. You honestly think he pulled his 9i 25y left of the green after hitting the same shot 30 times that day already? He did it on purpose to let me win a driver on my birthday. (BTW, none of us hit the green which was a requirement to win.) Two on fringe, two dunked in water short. Haha.

So why did Tiger dunk 3?

That's my question - why do you need to dunk 3 after the guy wins when Tiger dunks his first shot?

He just felt like hitting two more into the lake?

One reason he hasn't played 18 is because it's the busy time of the year at his course. Said he doesn't have the patience for 18. Sure the back is an issue, but he probably doesn't want to be out there for 4+ hours. I know previously he used to jet around in a little more than two hours.

hahahahah come on dude...doesn't have the patience for 18....if that is the case, he might as well retire right now and move on to designing full time....this is ludicrous.....and we al know how truthful tiger has been over the years

With your full recovery are you back playing a full tour schedule?

The fact anyone is taking this serious is hilarious!! It's pretty obvious he was goofing around playing to the crowd. If you truly believe he couldn't knock one of those balls on the green if he was trying, I have some wonderful business ventures I'd like to discuss with you.

Which Flavor Kool-Aid do you prefer ?

The first swing almost looked like he was trying to hit it in the water. It looked like a pitch shot.

My guess is it was some sort of charity closest to the pin against Tiger contest.. does anyone believe he's going to warm up and try to stick one to 2 inches against some wounded warriors? He was obviously hitting it in the water on purpose.

Geeze, glad it was your guess.....

yea....that surgery gives you total relief....mine was so bad, a part of the disc moved and cut of the S1 nerve root....(google it Einstein)......

I have feeling loss and weakness in my right calf and still do everything I used to.....tiger is an elite athlete and in much better shape than I am , so based on experience, I say we only have half the story......I should have gone to Anthony Galea and spent 115k for treatments. Id probably be a lot better

In his defense he had been sitting around for awhile answering media questions in chilly weather with no warmup. But it was hard to watch.

Guys, enough of these excuses. I am 58 yrs old, never been below a 6 H/C and only play at most twice a week. I could get 1 out of 3 on the green somewhere. You people keep saying Tiger is the greatest of all time and you think he would make a fool of himself like this ?

Zipping around the course in two hours implies the use of a cart. What he needs, I would think, when he nears being ready is to walk 18 or maybe 27 a day to get ready for being on his feet for 6 to 7 hours straight. Sitting in a cart will not help that at all.

they are saying Tiger is so good, he did that on purpose to assure the veteran would win....NOBODY but tiger could put three in the drink so close to each other.....great dispersion.....Jack couldn't do that on his best day!!

Why do people think he hit it in the water on purpose. He looks like someone who sat around for a while. Stood up and attempted to hit a shot over water, coming up 20 yards short. If he was hitting 100 yard shot to a green with no water it would just be a few bad shots. But the water makes the shots look REALLY bad. There's not much more to it. He's stated repeatedly that he's not ready to come back. It's not like this is Wednesday of the Masters and he dunking them in the par 3 contest. It's a press conference where he's hitting a few shots.

Because he was unhappy with his first ball. Asked to hit a second. Rinsed it. Wanted to be done. He was goaded into hitting another ball, and that didn't work out either.

Not rocket science. I don't think there was some grand scheme that he'd put three in the lake and have everyone go home.

I feel like the people making excuses as though Tiger couldn't do what he did haven't watched him play golf the last few years. He has hit some brutally ugly shots, far worse than this exhibition.

Go watch his practice round at the Waste Management last year. Greenside bunker on 16, skulls it deep into the stands.

Completely topped a drive in Abu Dhabi a few years back.

Topped 3 wood from the fairway at the US Open.

At Sawgrass, left a tee shot on one of the par 3's about 40 yards short of the green in a stream.

Wyndham last year, in contention a complete shank of a chip across the green to knock himself out of contention.

That's on top of all his other horrendous chips at Waste Management/Hero World Challenge.

Now people act like, with an obviously horrible back, putting 3 in the lake from 100 has to be fake. Sure thing.
